Some Bunny's Been Sitting in My Chair
Some bunny's been sitting in my chair.
Some bunny thinks it's fun to knock over pillows and hop on them.
Some bunny likes to crawl under pillows.
Some bunny thinks he can hide in the pillows and I won't see him.
Some bunny decided this button...
Needed a makeover.
Harrington!!!!

Winter Wishes
Hello there. Ready to get to some stitching? This is my new design called Winter Wishes. I just love the magic of snowflakes, how each one is totally different from the next. To me each one is a keeper of wishes.
The pattern has instructions to make a pillow
or a wall hanging. Both are 12" x 12." There are little pearl beads on the tips of the snowflake for elegance and jingle bells to add a little folksiness.
I used Valdani M1001, Vanilla Sky to stitch mine as I liked it with the fabric I chose. I think it would be pretty in lots of colors.
You can purchase the Pattern and the Floss in my Shop. Don't stitch or craft? Well you can purchase the Wall hanging or the Pillow from my Shop too.!
I added some new Valdani 3 strand floss colors too! It's time to get stitching for the Holiday's! Stock up now on some beautiful colors! Sending you lots of Winter Wishes!

Monday Meeting - Annette Tait from Dragon House of Yuen
Good morning my wonderful staff. I do hope you party animals are all rested from the weekend. Let's get started shall we!
This week I am delighted to introduce you to my friend and fellow bunny lover, Annette Tait of Dragon House of Yuen. Not only is Annette a bunny lover, she is also a wonderful artist, an advocate for rabbits and a supporter of rabbit rescue. A gal after my own heart indeed!
Annette lives is Edinburgh Scotland with her fuzzy assistants, Arabella and Wesley. Both of whom she rescued.
This is the lovely Arabella enjoying a snack.
This is the handsome Wesley enjoying a snack.
Most of Annettes work is fashioned after the lovely Arabella. She makes soft sculpture rabbits, cards, handbags, etc. She sells them through her Etsy shop. These are just a few below.
Currently Annette is participating in the Winter Raffle 2010. You simply purchase a raffle ticket to help raise money for Wesley's old rescue in England. Annette also supports several other rabbit rescues around the world. There are some really lovely prizes this year including this beauty, Mother Hare Ermine, made by Annette (you know I love her as she is white, hee, hee, hee).
I invite you to hop over and visit with my bunny friends at Dragon House of Yuen, purchase a raffle ticket, and feel good knowing that you helped some wonderful fuzzy faces have better lives.
Have a wonderful week!
Meeting adjourned.

And they lived Happily Ever After
Many of you have asked what Sugie thinks of Harrington. Well, to be honest, at first she didn't like him much. She batted at him and bit at him through the playpen. She stomped her foot and had a little hissy fit. Basically, she was trying to tell him that Bunnyville was her space and she was the boss and like her Mama, she is particular about the decorating. You know women can be protective and picky about their houses!
After talking to my friend, Paula, at Cape Fear House Rabbit Society, I decided to give it a full three weeks with him in the playpen and her getting use to him being in her space. That turned out to be a very good idea. This past Sunday was their first "official date" in our bathroom (aka neutral territory). Sugie "presented" to Harrington, which means lowered her head to the floor for grooming. In bunny language, this means I'm the boss. Harrington totally ignored her as he was much more interested in all the nooks and cranny's of the bathroom. Upon Sugie's third presentation and Harrington's third dismisal of her, she got totally ticked off, had a mad look on her face, lifted her tail and pee'd on the floor! She never does that, so I knew she was really mad! Of course as I tried to clean it up, Harrington (Mr. Mischief) came over to investigate, sniffed the area, tried to eat the paper towel, looked at me and said, "oh boy mama, she's really mad! It was quite hilarious! I told him he better get his buns over there and give her kisses.
David and I then put them in the carrier (aka, the to go box) and took them on the death ride in the car. Bunnies get so scared that they will huddle together for protection. When we got back, I left them in the to go box and vacuumed up Bunnyville around them. Again, they hate the vacuum and huddled together. Then, the door was opened, they were free and they ran around merrily on the new carpet runners. Harrington was one happy bunny! At one point I couldn't find him. He had hopped up on my sewing chair under the table! Man can he jump high. Note to self, make sure chair is pushed in or he'll be on the table!
Now, they are the best of friends and Sugie even let's him in the willow tent with her. Here she is filling him in on the work duties involved in living in Bunnyville.
"Oh man Sugie! That seems like a lot of work!"
"Don't worry Harrington, mama can't get past the 'cute factor'. All you have to do is look cute and do cute things and then you can lounge around and do nothing."
Obviously Harrington took her advice.
Happy Friday everyone! Visit me next week for lots of fun things including a new stitchery pattern that you're sure to like!

Enter as a stranger, leave as a friend -The Friend Door
Have you heard the saying, "enter as a stranger, leave as a friend?" Well, at our house, when people visit for the first time we have them enter through the front door. Then, when our visit has ended, they leave through the side door or what we call, The Friend Door. From that point on, the rule is that they always enter our home through The Friend Door.
The Friend Door welcomes you with cute little porch and a sign that says Rosewood Cottage est. 2001, the May family.
We even wrote our name in the concrete on the porch.
We put two lucky pennies May of 2001 (get it, our last name is May the year 2001,hee,hee,hee) in the concrete, wishing all those who pass by lots of luck in their life.
There is a cute little bunny (complete with bug bits in this picture, ewww!) to greet you.
Then as you enter, we have a little mud room for you to hang your keys and leave your worries behind. We don't wear our shoes in the house and neither do most of our friends, so shoes also get deposited here. There is a little chair in case you need to sit down and a mirror for your to take a peek at yourself and make sure you don't have veggies in your teeth before you leave for a meeting with people that have never met you before so that you won't get home later to find you had veggies in your teeth, your husband didn't tell you, and you now know why the people were staring at you (yes, that is a true story). I do like how the garden elements, on the opposite wall, are reflected in the mirror.
And here they are. I think it's fun to take outside elements and bring them inside. And yes, I spray painted these white. :)
I think my blog has a Friend Door too. You visit as a stranger and then leave as a friend. I think that's pretty cool.

Be my guest, be my guest, be my guest
Last month on one of my cleaning and organizing missions, I decided to tackle the guest bedroom. I took down all the colorful plates and put up white ones. Then I changed the dust ruffle and quilt to all white. I put a little tray on the bed with a cottage book, some flowers and of course, a little bunny thingy.
One day I will make a real cushion for the window seat, but it's not on my priority list right now.
This is a really old frame I picked up in a junk shop. I love the way it looks without a picture. I spray painted the fleur de lis white as it was an icky gold color and then hung it on the nail that holds the frame. I love the simple look of this.
The bed is king size, so it's extra comfy. Out the window is a view of the pond. It's very quiet here as bunnies don't make much noise at all. So do you want to be my guest?

Sir Walter Harrington - The Pillow
I have been working like crazy trying to get ready for the show in November. I have my colors all set, the idea for my booth buzzing in my head and more inspiration than I know what to do with thanks to the bunnies and my overactive imagination.
I decided I just had to make a "Sir Walter Harrington pillow" in honor of my new boy.
Harrington told me he was quite pleased with the results as it is a very good likeness. The pillow is a tweedy wool fabric with a white velvet rabbit. Simple, folky, elegance and perfect for any bunny decor. One of a kind and available in my Shop.
Have a fun day!

You are all wonderful friends and I look forward to many more adventures together.
