Peter and Peter and 400 Followers and 3 Years of Blogging

I showed you a sneaky peaky the other week. Now here it is all finished! Peter and Peter!

Peter and Peter are pumpkin eaters. These two naughty boys love Fall and the crisp air. They sneak into the fields at night and sample all the pumpkins in the moonlight. Much to the dismay of the farmers of course.

This piece represents my new direction in my textile art. I have always loved Folk Art for it's fun and whimsical style and how it makes me smile everytime I look at it. But, staying true to myself and my more elegant home style, my folk art is full of soft, muted, tone on tone, colors and of course white! After all, white is my signature color. I love the mix of elegant and folky.

The background is my fushion method which is time consuming, but oh so fun to do. The pumpkin and the rabbits are white velvet which gives another element of texture. Peter and Peter measures 33" x 22". Original and one of a kind. Available in My Shop. There will be many more pieces to come. My mind is overflowing with ideas.

Next, I can't believe I have almost 400 followers! Oh my gosh!!! Never would I have imagined that my little tales, art and bunnies would bring so many friends together. I started blogging in September of 2007 and it opened up an entire world to me. So many wonderful people, so many places to visit and so much love and friendship. Thank you all so very much. You bring me incredible joy and happiness.

To celebrate 3 years and almost 400 friends, I'm going to have a fun giveaway. I'll select the winner on September 17th. To enter, just leave a comment on this post. Sign up to be a follower because as always, my friends/followers will be entered twice! I'm going to keep the Prize a SECRET, but you will just love it and I promise you won't be disappointed.

Happy Fall Ya'll!

xx, shell and sugie bunny

Ohhhhh, the temptation--if I didn't need my money for our trip, I'd be scooping up that lovely piece of art on the spot, because Peter is also the name of my dear hubby.

Just going to have to cross my fingers and hope it's still available when I get home. :)
