Hoppy Friday - New Blog Schedule

Hoppy Friday!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. We did! It was just David and me this year, so we decided to go to the movies and see the third part of The Hobbit. It was awesome! We love those movies and Lord of the Rings too.

Going into the new year, I have decided to make a few changes with my life. One of those will be my blogging schedule. For at least six years, I have blogged Monday, Wednesday and Friday. During this time, blogging and social media has changed greatly and frankly, I feel overwhelmed with information and "stuff" coming at me all the time. It feels like a "quantity" life instead of a "quality" life.

So, starting next week, I have decided that "less is more." I will be writing blog posts on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There will be less posts, but more in each post. I will share more about how I came to this decision on Tuesday. Until then, thank you for following along on my adventures down the rabbit hole. It sure is fun having friends along for the ride. :)

Light, love and hugs to you,
xx,
Michelle, the Bunnies and Sabrina too!

Sometimes less is better. More info but less often is OK with me, you need to do what makes you happy. When you are happy, you can be more creative and that is good for all of your followers. I hope you have a wonderful, creative New Year!

Hi Shell, I agree with you completely about the overwhelmed feeling! One of the reasons I stopped blogging for most of 2014 was that feeling of too much coming at me and feeling somehow I was supposed to keep up. I would love to have a schedule for my blogging but I am one of those undisciplined free spirits that hates constraints of deadlines...anywho, I am blogging sometimes once or twice a week, if that. Blogging has changes so much and I have seen over this past year especially many blogs signing off the Internet completely. I believe there is a place for our blogging but it should be much more qualitative rather than quantitative, as you said. I will still be one of your dedicated followers, even if you don't hear from me sometimes, I am keeping up with you and the fur baby family! :D Looking forward to the new year and your new "Blessings of the Month" I do hope to participate this year... alas I missed out on all of this year's program.
Hugs and Happy Holidays to you and DH and the Bunns as well as Sabrina!!!

Shell I'm right there with you. I don't have a schedule for posting but I'm finding I post less and less often these days. At first I felt guilty about it but no more - this is my life and I need to do more, not write more. I joined Twitter and Instagram but never really go into them, thank goodness, so I only check them once every other week or so. Facebook - a quick check morning and evening but very little reading or sharing. I can handle that I think. I have stacks of UFOs waiting for me and that's what I want to be working on. Happy New Year! blessings, marlene

I look forward to reading your blogposts next year - whenever they come! I've found myself struggling to get the balance between the blog world and the real world right, so respect anyone else's intention to get it right! I've gained so much from the blog world, I cant see myself not being a part of it! Happy New Year!!

Blogging can take up a lot of your stitching time, which is a pity. That said, I always enjoy your posts. Maybe you can let your employees do some more blogging. They are so adorable. Wishing you a creative year full of inspiration and love

Probably a good plan - especially if you think so. You are one of the very few bloggers who has quite a wide batch of followers - many who never/rarely comment - and you can feel rewarded that so many get so much from your writing and instruction and inspiration! (Oh - and the bunnies!)

A movie with someone you love is a good way to spend Christmas. I don't blog but do enjoy reading a selection of craft and travel blogs. It can be difficult at times just keeping up with reading my favourites (such as yours), so I can only begin to imagine how much time it takes to create each post. Blogging should be a pleasure and not a burden so a change that is right for you is a good thing. Sending wishes for an amazing 2015 to all!

My dear heart,

I sure know the feeling of making changes.

A while back, I had to take my EVERY FRIDAY blogging schedule and revamp it because of my attention to poetry writing and my new job as a high school teacher. Now instead of every Friday night, I post every 2-3 weeks! HAHAHAHAHAHHH! It gives me time to think and lets others stumble upon my blog.

I will still be here to watch your art unfold, stitch by stitch, and to cop a hug from these two MAGNIFICENT BUNNIES! What a darling picture of Miss Hannah-Banana lovin' on Harrington..teeeheeeee

I WILL BE WITH YOU! Much love and enjoy the new journey.

Making changes is a really good when it includes taking care of yourself. I have refused to go with FaceBook, Twitter or Instagram because I believe the "information highway" could definitely be damaging to my sanity. A lot of blogs are referring and posting more and more to these communication avenues and I feel that I am not missing anything of importance in such few words. I love the more personal aspect of blogs.Good for you on your decision. Quality over quantity any day.

We were also on our own for Christmas. Watched all the saved Christmas movies we had on DVD and even ventured out to see Exodus at the theater, along with about 12 other people - it was wonderful.

Happiest of New Years to you, David and the furries. Judy C and Himself

I slowed down on my blogging this year but think I would like to develop a schedule for two times a week. I still enjoy reading blogs and I am so glad that one of my favorites is continuing but on a schedule that is better for you. Looking forward to reading your posts in 2015.

Good for you -- it's hard to step back, even when it's absolutely the right thing to do! My hubby and I went to go see the new Hobbit movie last week -- it was fabulous! I'm a little (a lot) sad that they're all over now! LOL! Hope you enjoyed a very Merry Christmas, Michelle! :)

Merry Christmas dear Shell and we love LOTR too - Sam and I were a bit disappointed in the final Hobbit movie, too much fighting and not enough story, and too many changes to the book - but we still loved it. Can't blame you for changing your blog schedule, there are times I turn off my computer for a day or two and what a difference!

I sure hear you!! This past year seems a blur and even though I did blog less I still feel as though there was no time or I spent time fretting over stuff. I too, have made a major change in how I do business in 2015. I hope this will enable me to live a more peaceful life and still do what I love!
