Happiness on Hoppy Friday

Hoppy Friday!

First I want to thank you for your hugs on my last post. One thing about driving so far to the vet is I have a ton of time to think. There really has been soooooooooo much sadness everywhere. It can suck you down into a pit like quick sand. I decided I need some happy! Like lots of happy! So moving forward, every Friday really is going to be Hoppy/Happy Friday.

I'm going list a few things from the week that made me happy and I am grateful for. I invite you to share what made you happy too. This always helps me to focus on the positive and remember that happiness really is a way of life.

So to start off this Friday, Hannah and I would like to thank Rene' for purchasing the mini quilt! Rene' and her husband have been taking care of rescue rabbits for 25 years. They currently have four who share their home. Plus, she is a quilter. Thank you! :)

Next, I am really happy I got to spend time and go see Captain's mom last weekend. I have been trying to visit since March. We went to a craft show while we were there. I haven't been to one in years and even though there are more and more "made in China" vendors, I was happy to see there were still a few vendors who made things by hand. I fell in love with this bunny tassel. Captain purchased it for me as a gift. Thank you Captain!

I think it looks perfect hanging there.

One thing I really love about this time of year is the sunlight in the late afternoon. The way it sparkles off the pond in my back yard always reminds me of my grammy who loved sparkly things. Seeing this felt like getting a hug from her that everything is going to be ok.

I also love the way the way this light floods my living room late in the day. It's soft and comforting.

Speaking of soft light, I love this little fella. His face is just so cute and makes me smile.

I love how he shines his light on all his friends.

My house is very open. Most people who visit, enter through the side door, aka, the friend door. This is the view they see. Of all the decorating schemes I have had over the years, this one is the real me and makes me feel truly at home. David really loves it too even if there are bunnies everywhere. ;)

David loves his job. He's been at it for over 23 years. Even though this year has been awful with the  furloughs, insurance hikes, and no raise again in over 5 years, he is grateful to have a job. We are even more grateful for his job because you see David helps to keep these planes, the V22 Osprey, in the air. He is an aircraft examiner and makes sure the planes are safe for flying by our men and women in the military. These are the planes that have been bringing much needed supplies and help to the people in the Philipines.

Finally, even though it is super hard running a small business and making money as an artist is challenging, I love the freedom. I can work whatever hours I want, when I want. Most of the time I work 12-16 hours a day, but it's my passion, so it doesn't feel like work. Plus, it allows me the freedom to help others, like driving a friend to a cancer treatment yesterday.

So there is my happiness for this week. What made you happy?

xx,
Michelle and the Bunnies

I can feel the struggles in your last post, you have no need to justify love and I know Hannah's life is comfortable in her illness. Enzo is curled around my feet as I type this and they are a part of the family. I love how you pick yourself back up and spread your joy...it is a gift to the rest of us.

happiness is never ending and I always feel that to be happy you must feel happy
it is in the things that please you, those small things...
yesterday I got mine as...
I had my morning cup of tea with Wesley at my feet eating his slice of banana
the sun shone on me, it was beautiful
I got an email from a dear, dear, beautiful friend whom I love with all my heart xxx
I fed my wild squirrel and he spent a good deal of time just looking at me, contentedly, as I admired him
I had dinner at my mums and we had FUN! and it was delicious
I got the parking space I wanted, it was perfect
and I felt goooood, so good all day!
oh - and I saw the stars at night sparkling away :)
- that was a happy day
much love to you Shell, and to Hannah and Harrington and your wonderful husband :)

You have a dear heart...you feel your life, it doesn't just pass by you without notice...what a rare gift...remember HOPE is alive and well. People like you bring it to others everyday. For that I am thankful.
It was my birthday this week and my children are scattered all over...yet, my sweet man and my five little grown babes all came together on Tuesday night with my two little GBs and surprised me at a dinner I thought would just be me and the hubby...
It really did a lot for my empty nest sadness of the past few weeks and gave me a loved feeling.
God is good like that...He never ceases to amaze me that He always meets us just where we are and refreshes our hearts when we let Him. Love You and your little bunnies...

The Church Fathers say that within us all, we carry either Heaven or Hell. Heaven and Hell are not destinations, or mystical places where spirits dwell, but are the things we take with us, to serve or be served, as needs or desires, everyplace we venture.
You carry Bunnyville in your heart, and it is a lovely, happy place to be.
So we are all grateful to YOU for bringing Bunnyville to US, because the world needs that sparkly, sunny, bunny place.
After all, no one ever found peace and light in Lionville, or Wolfville...lol! Not that those are bad places, but when bunnies get hungry, you don't have watch your back...and limbs...
Thank you for Bunnyville.

Well I was part of a gang that took turns taking a friend to cancer treatments the past month and I (sort of) helped build the V22 and have lots of things to be thankful for. I know I won't get to next week if I don't get through today - so ... one day at a time (with, of course, plenty of thinking ahead and planning ..)

Knowing that there are people like you in the world makes me happy - and that I know YOU makes me even happier! It's kind of you to welcome us all into your lovely home - I don't think I'd ever leave it were I to enter...just sayin!

Mr. Mick and I are happy when our friends are happy. Of course, Mick is also happy when there are treats to be had and petting to be given.

LOVE all the bunnehs in your home--especially the live ones. :)
Happy Hoppy Friday to you and your hubby and your adorable assistants!

Your fantastic attitude, resilience and warmth are a gift to us all. I loved this post. You really do have a gift for making people feel better! Everyone deals with negative things in life from time to time, and you are a shining example of how to keep a positive attitude through it all. One of my husband's favorite sayings is, "Gratitude is the well-spring of joy." I think that is so very true! blessings to you and yours :) xoxo

Darling friend, I am late due to my fatigue with the conferences at school, and school in general! But I am HAPPY. Here's why:

1. I am alive.
2. I am healthy.
3. I have love in my life but most of all, I can create love. No matter
if I'm alone, I can still create
love and spread it.
4. I LOVE NATURE, especially bunnies
and to just watch them or other creatures, I have joy.

Your home is gorgeous. You have a wonderful husband (my husband used to inspect aircraft when we first got married 32 years ago!) and you have made great choices. Keep creating the joy you spread. It will be alright...

Happiness for me is having a wonderful friend named Michelle.

Happiness is having a beautiful 12' October Glory Maple tree planted today in my front yard (present from dear son for mother's day but had to wait till Fall to plant).

Happiness is being surrounded with unconditional love from family, friends, and pets. Light and love to you dear Shell. Judy C in NC who loves this idea and will love participating on Fridays.

Well I'm just happy that you are happy! My husband always tells our sons " If I can give you one piece of advice about marriage it is this,'Marry a woman who is a happy person'".
Do my eyes see a "Boogie Woogie Bunny Band" on your wall?? I thought so! Now that makes me happy too!
