I was truly inspired by the name of this blog hop. I simply adore the Fall season. It is my most favorite season of all.
This 12" finished design is called "Falling for You." I was inspired to make it as I just celebrated my 21st wedding anniversary on September 21. This design represents my love of my husband, David, my love of fall, and my love of Mother Nature.
Samm and Sarah Squirrel are getting married under the giant acorn. It was a most wonderful celebration and all their woodland friends were in attendance. Things did get a bit "squirrely" at the reception. hee,hee,hee. ;)
This design holds true to my Folk Art Fusion asthetic with wool applique and big detail stitching. It's a fast and fun project to make, as well as, a delightful way to celebrate the love of this season. Perhaps it could even be a gift for somebunny special who is having a fall wedding. :)
Patterns and kits are available in my SHOP as too are the table top stands that are marked down 15%.

What a totally adorable block and story. When I lived in Portland, OR we would have all kinds of squirrels in the back yard, we have now been in central Kansas for almost a year now and I've not seen one squirrel in our yard. Darn. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway.

This is absolutely adorable! We married in Sept, and one anniversary present to ourselves was a painting of a little squirrel eating an acorn amidst a bunch of leaves, all done up in fall colors. It was so very realistic it looked like a photo, but when you looked really, really close, you could see each little hair was a brush stroke.
When we sold everything to move into the camper, we had to sell that too & I still miss it! I love your squirrel wedding; it reminds me of our little painting!
I love your squirrels - very sweet and I think your story was just loverly. :) It is a surprise to see squirrels rather than Hannah and Harrington (Did I get their names right?)

I so love your quilt and have been a subscriber to your blog. Love the rabbits in your quilts. In Queensland, my state in Australia, we are not allowed to keep rabbits (they were an introduced animal and so have become a pest to farmers and other wildlife). So whenever I am down south (in a soutern state) when I see a rabbit I just have to pat it! Thanks for sharing.
