I made these as my contribution.
Then my mom requested this for her neighbor, Paul. He's a retired Navy Admiral and is very proud of his Country and of his military career. Paul lives on his own and uses a walker to help him get around. I made this pocket to tie onto his walker so he could carry his phone, the TV remote and anything else he finds necessary.
I enjoyed making these for the wonderful folks that serve and have served this beautiful Country that I am blessed to call home.

Awesome! I STILL have to make my pillowcases, I tried to turn the iron on today but there was no way. At 2am, it's still 88 degrees in here. Love that walker bag, great idea and design!
Your pillow cases came out great!! Every little bit will help! ~karen
Way to go Shell - I found out about Carol's "shout out" also and have already sent my pillowcases. I call it "Operation Jami Pillowcases" and already over 100 cases collected. Quilters certainly are givers. Judy C sends her best to you

No wonder her story tugged at your heart. I have a feeling that many more heartstrings are about to be pulled. I am on my way to check my stash for red, white and blue. Your cases, and the bag, are perfect!
Oh Shell, I am totally in love with that Admiral "apron" for your friend's walker. I bet he's going to be over the moon with it. :) And of course the pillowcase is wonderful. Thanks so much for passing this story on - there's so little we can do for our enlisted folks that it's a treasure when we find something that will actually bring a smile to their faces. blessings, marlene
I think I am still out there hanging in mid air on that zip line!!!
