12 Day's of Christmas Stitchery and another Giveaway!

Well, we made it. The 12 Day's of Christmas little mystery stitchery on my website started the day after Thanksgiving and ended Tuesday. Each day the participants collected another little piece of the project. Then.... due to me running behind and fessing up that I was only one day ahead of the participants, (naughty) and it was raining, and it was dark and I had to work my construction job for two days so I couldn't take a decent picture because it was dark, I couldn't unveil the finished project until today when I could take a picture and finish sewing on the pom pom fringe. So here it is. The 12 Day's of Christmas Stitchery made into a pillow with pom pom fringe and pearl beads. I'm so delighted with it and I hope everyone that participated had a good time.

I used this beautiful Valdani 3 strand floss. The color is called Heavenly Hue. I chose this color because my Cutie Grammy left for Heaven on August 26 this year. She had the most beautiful ice blue eyes and her favorite color was blue.
This picture below is in 2007 (90 years old) when she came to visit with me, David and the bunnies.

I made this mystery stitchery in her honor and in her memory.
(I love you cutie.. I'll have a blue Christmas without you)

So, in her honor and in her memory and for all my loyal blogging friends and my wonderful customers, I'm going to have a giveaway. Stitching relieves so much stress and helps me get through things because I can focus on creating. I've decided I am going to give away an entire kit to create this project. One lucky winner will get the linen, the floss, a hoop, the fleece, the fringe, the needles, the pearls, the pen and all the patterns. Everything except the stuffing for the pillow.

All you have to do is leave a comment. If you participated and collected all the patterns, please let me know. I'm so darn curious to see how many people got them. I'll draw the winner's name on Sunday so I can mail out the kit on Monday.
Good luck and happy stitching!

Shell

YAY for Grammies! As always I am sorry for your loss, but I love Grandmas. I'm glad your finding a way to remember her. I am always so thankful to have mine with me. I swear if I win I will actually try really hard to make it!

Grammy and I share the love of the color blue and it was my mother's favorite color too. I lost my mother in 1996 at the young age of 68. I have collected all the blocks and if I win the kit, I would make it in memory of my mother.

Hi Shell;
Your grandma was a lovely woman, and the photograph of the two of you together is a sweet image. I'm sure she'd love your handcrafted tribute to her.

I've collected all your images, and plan to stitch them into a pillow after I get all my holiday gifts completed. I'd love to win your kit, but in the event I don't, I'd be happy to purchase one. After all, I'm going to need all the supplies one way or the other! hee hee

Your finished pillow is elegant and perfectly you! Thank you for sharing your design.

Hugs to you and scratch Razzy and Sugie behind the ears from their "auntie" in Florida.
xoxo

Hi, I've collected the balls but didn't start to make them yet cause I've had a handsurgery. But I'll absolutely make them for Christmas next year, I love stitchery and I think the color is just a fine Christmascolor. I'm sorry you've lost your grandmother, but I think she would have been proud having such a creative granddaughter! Thank you for sharing this project with us.
Greetings, Anita

What a lovely tribute for your grandma! While I don't have my grandmas anymore, I am blessed in that I still have my much loved mom still with me at 94, and bless her heart with a mind as sharp as ever, we have been best friends forever! Would love to win the kit, might even get my mom to stitching, grin. BarbM

Hi Shell just wanted to say how much I love this pillow, such a unique idea!
And the pom pom fringe, yummy:)

Please don't include me in the giveaway because I can barley sew a button on let alone create something as lovely as this.LOL

Hi Shelly - I have collected all the patterns, traced my patterns, blocks sewn togather and am on my third block. I am using the green and gold Valdai threads alternating blocks with different colors. I really like how it is turning out and had to get to the computer at work yesterday at 10 am cause I knew you would be posting the finished stitchery. It is so pretty and I am happy to know what it will finally look like. I hope to win the stuff but if not just getting the free pattern was enough of a prize for me. You are a very talented lady and I know follow your blog daily.

Hi -
I just found your blog a day before the 12 days began. I have printed all 12 patterns, but have not yet started stitching them. I love the floss you used and will be ordering some from you.

Hi - I would never have guessed a pillow when I started the 12 days of collecting. It's a beautiful project and the thread you used is gorgeous. I haven't started stitching yet but hopefully by next Christmas - LOL!! Thanks so much for sharing your lovely design and your grammy with us all. Merry Christmas to you and the bunnies.

The pillow is beautiful :) and so is your Grammy! My Grandma (my sewing Grandma)went to heaven several years ago - She was the only one who understood when I said, "I'm sewing!" when she would call and ask what I was doing. Everyone else said, "Again?" or "Still?" They didn't get it. Yes, I've collected all the patterns and I'll be excited to make it. Would love to win the kit! :) Thanks for offering it.
