An expert Herdsman was Needed

The Rainbow Bridge was a very busy place this April. It seems our rabbit friends from all over decided it was time to cross it. First there was Ginny, then there was Louie and Abbey, then Freckles, and then my Sugie. With so many bunnies crossing the bridge in the same month, God must have been a bit overwhelmed as bunnies can be quite a handful when they get to partying and running amuck without proper leadership.

Yesterday, after complications from surgery, our dear friend Fezzik from Brynwood Needleworks, crossed the rainbow bridge. He must have heard that God needed an expert herdsman to gather the bunnies and help them cross.

We love you sweet boy. We will miss you so very, very, much.

Shell,

That was so sweet! You are such a special friend!

I just can't stop thinking about Donna and Fez. Fez seemed like my 4th corgi and I finally had a little guy.

I love your new banner!

I didn't know where I was for a second! Love the new look!
Sounds like the Rainbow Bridge needs a break, I hope things improve this month.

Hi Shell, I just got on my blog and was shocked to read that Fez is gone. I need to go visit my friend and let her know we are all thinking of her. We have had a beautiful day with the weather cooperating. We spent part of it outside which felt so good. Do take care and have a wonderful rest of the weekend. Hugs Your Missouri Friend.

Beautiful post Shell and I reckon Fez is going to be happy snuggling with all those bunnies!

I, too, think the Rainbow Bridge could use some time off. :O(
It seems that Fezzik will be super busy keeping up with the bunnies, though.

A lovely tribute, and I know Fezzik will keep those busy bunnies on their toes (and vice versa).

Thoughts and prayers are sent out to Donna and her family.

On a less-sad note, the new banner is gorgeous.

Fezzie does not know what he is in for!!! Just because you go to the Rainbow Bridge it does not mean you quit disapproving and acting up!

Oh so sad - but at least he'll be in good company...

I love what you have written, it had me in tears again, first beautiful Sugie left and now Fezzik, it really is a very sad time.
I hope you are doing okay and that Harrington isn't too lonely.
Hugs to you and Harrington.

hi Michelle, there have been so many losses. :(
I got such a shock when I read Donna's blog yesterday I just couldn't stop crying. I loved reading about that sweet little guy's week- he reminded me of my little Ralph- a corgi that we lost unexpectedly too. It is heartbreaking as you know,- with the loss of your sweet pet, Sugie. The only way I find to console myself is to know that they HAD LOVE in their lives. Hugs to you, Sandy.

I know your sweet little furry loved ones will be happy with the company my kitties will provide! All of us who love animals do have to live to see them cross the Rainbow Bridge.

Thoughts and prayers of comfort to you!

I know we all love our little furry friends and so difficult to loose them. I know we are on borrowed time with our two little Cairns and so appreciate their unconditional love. What a wonderful friend you are, Shell. Judy C

Its no doubt bad to say, but God is being a little greedy at the moment, we need as many bundles of furry love here as we can get. My heart goes out to all who have lost their fur children. What a handome little gentleman Fezzik was. Much tears. Tracee xx

Dear Shell:
Thank you, my friend, for your cheerful and joyful tribute to my little boy. It's comforting to know that he'll be having fun and keeping busy with all those sweet bunnies. I know he'd love that.

I'm hoping that my sweet Bannor boy meets him at the Bridge, too. They had a lot in common, least of which was my undying love and adoration.

I'm so grateful for all the kind words and consolation I have received from my blogging friends. I know you're all friends for life.
God Bless and Thank you everyone.
Donna and Kes
