Postcard Kits and a Gift to myself

Well, I can't believe next week will be Thanksgiving already. Whew! I feel like it was just Labor Day. Are you traveling to see family and friends for the big day of feasting? David and I decided to spend our first Thanksgiving in Wilmington at one of our favorite restaurants, Sweet and Savory. They put together a wonderful spread and even offer vegetable lasagna for us vegetarians! Woo hoo!!!

Many friends/customers have asked me to put together kits for my Postal Fusions. These post cards make wonderful handmade and heartfelt gifts for the special people on your list. Each kit contains the National Nonwovens wool felt, the Valdani 3 strand floss, embroidery needle, Soft Fuse - fusible web and 10 clear envelopes for mailing. There are enough supplies to make several of each. A PDF pattern will be emailed to you after kit purchase.

These postcards are fast and fun to make and

are the perfect take along project when you travel this Thanksgiving.

HOP over to my SHOP to get your KIT.

Today, I am super excited to share a little pressie I gave myself. I do love to give myself pressies! ;) My dear, super talented, wonderfully creative friend, Donna Liljegren of Brynwood Needleworks made me this gorgeous wallet.

I had been stalking eyeballing these on her Facebook page and just had to have one with the Alice in Wonderland fabric.

Look at all the pockets!

Donna makes everything incredibly special. Look at this cute little zipper fob she added. Love it!

The inside is every bit as beautiful and well made as the outside.

I am over the moon excited with the pressie I gave myself. It's the perfect size to take with me when I run errands, grab a coffee with a friend or go to a movie.

Thank you so very much Donna! I love it! Hop on over and visit Donna at her BLOG. She might just have a pressie you want to buy for yourself. :)

Have a good weekend and I'll see you back here next Wednesday with an update on our new house.

Light, love and hugs,
Michelle

Bugs and a Bunny

Did the title of this post get you? "What's up doc?" hee, hee, hee. Funny how things will fit together sometimes.

For instance, here is a sneaky peeky of my "Lord and Lady Bugs" Folk Art Fusion (TM) piece. David and I do looooooove watching Downton Abbey. Do you? After listening to them say "my lord and my lady" half a dozen times, the idea for this piece hopped into my head. I doodled my idea on a piece of paper. I can't wait to show you the finished piece. Yep, it will be in my book. I'll also be teaching that flower in Chicago! More on that Monday.

So now, let's talk about the bunny. Remember my limited litter a few months ago? My super talented friend Donna, of Brynwood Needleworks, made the most adorable wool, bunny, pincushions. They sold out lickety  split. I've had many people ask me if there was a pattern so I told Donna she should make it into a pattern. Guess what? She did!

She is selling the PDF (instant download, no shipping, get it now, make it now) pattern on Craftsy! Woo hoo! So hop over HERE and check it out. Of course I love it. It's a Bunny! His name is Harris. He's a relative of Harrington's. ;)

Alrighty then. Now you know why the title to this post is is Bugs and a Bunny. Like Bugs Bunny. Get it? It's ok if you don't get it. It just means you aren't as dorky as I am. If you do get it, you're in my club. Haaaaaaaaaa!

No post this Friday. Instead it will be on Saturday for Mid Month Madness! I've got something fun to share with you and of course there will be a giveaway. Prizes are fun!

Hugs!

The Raspberry Rabbits limited litter

Hello there! Welcome to Monday and a new week of fun and adventure!

Today we are excited to welcome our dear Corgi friend, Tag. He is here to share a little tale with you.

Hello Raspberry Rabbit friends! Indeed, I am truly delighed to join you today.

Let's see, where shall we begin? Ah yes. How about we start with the friendship of Auntie Shell
and my Mum, Donna of Brynwood Needleworks.

Blogging brought my Mum and Auntie Shell together several years ago. They have been lucky to meet in person and exchange hugs. Auntie Shell thinks my Mum is incredibly talented (I do too) and such a beautiful lady inside and out (I do too).

Over the years my Mum has created many wonderful things, owned her own shop, taught others to create, as well as, spoiled her many friends thoughout blogland with heartfelt creations. Auntie Shell says she is "Spoiled!!!"

Recently, Auntie Shell sat down and tried to think of some new things to offer her Raspberry Rabbits friends. She contacted my Mum and asked her to create some pincushions based on a design she made earlier.

From this, the The Raspberry Rabbits "limited litter" was born. They are a limited litter as this is all there will be for this year. Each rabbit is handmade by my Mum from wool with a crushed walnut base.

On the back, in addition to the adorable fuzzy tail, is a pocket to hold your embroidery scissors.

Much to the delight of Auntie Shell, my Mum gave each of the rabbits a wonky ear like cousin Harrington.

Even Uncle David was smitten with this litter of woolie wabbits!

Seeing as these are a "limited litter." Auntie Shell is not putting them on her website. Should you desire to adopt one of these woolie Raspberry Rabbits for your own, please email Auntie Shell with your choice. michelle@theraspberryrabbits.com First come, first to adopt.

Each rabbit pincushion is $15 plus $5 traveling expense for friends in the US. International friends, the traveling expense will be $10 as these bunnies like to fly first class.  Your choices are shown below. **The entire litter has been adopted. They are hopping on their way to live with their new families. Thank you all so very much!

Now, I do believe it is time for a little bit of kibble for this chap. Best wishes and happy shopping.

xx,

An expert Herdsman was Needed

The Rainbow Bridge was a very busy place this April. It seems our rabbit friends from all over decided it was time to cross it. First there was Ginny, then there was Louie and Abbey, then Freckles, and then my Sugie. With so many bunnies crossing the bridge in the same month, God must have been a bit overwhelmed as bunnies can be quite a handful when they get to partying and running amuck without proper leadership.

Yesterday, after complications from surgery, our dear friend Fezzik from Brynwood Needleworks, crossed the rainbow bridge. He must have heard that God needed an expert herdsman to gather the bunnies and help them cross.

We love you sweet boy. We will miss you so very, very, much.

A million hugs of thanks!

A friend is someone we turn to
When our spirits need a lift.
A friend is someone we treasure
For our friendship is a gift.
A friend is someone who fills our lives
With beauty, joy and grace
And makes the world we live in
A better and happier place.
    -Jean Kyler McManus

I want to thank my dear, sweet, friends, Donna of Brynwood Needleworks and Jillayne of A Fine Seam and each and every one of you for all the wonderful birthday messages you left for me! I have to say it was such a surprise and I feel like I've received a big hug from all of you! What a fun party!

Zoey Bunny sent me a lovely photo of herself for my birthday. (She's so fluffy I'm gonna die!)
Friendship really is a gift we give ourselves and I sure do know how to pick out a present! hee, hee, hee.

Of course, I'm also incredibly blessed to be married to my best friend. We've shared 22 birthday celebrations since we stared dating in 1989. David and I hardly ever get a picture together. I thought this one turned out great. (Plus my hair and makeup were playing together nicely for a change!)

Love to all of you and a million hugs of thanks. You are truly a treasure to me! Blessings come in many ways and the nicest come as freinds. :)

My dear friend, Donna of Brynwood Needleworks, surprised me with this beautiful mug mat! I have the perfect table for it in Bunnyville. I looooove it Donna!! Spoiled!!

Donna has designed cross stitch charts for many years and even owned at one time! She said I inspired her to create these Reflecting Rabbits. I think they are just so cute! Ya want to know the best part????

You can click HERE and hop over and get the chart FREE from her! Yep! Free!! There are also other fun tutorials on her page to check out. Be sure and visit her blog too and tell her Shell and the bunnies said, "we're spoiled!"

Raspberry Rabbits Meets Brynwood Needleworks

Monday, I drove to Williamsburg, Virginia to meet my dear blogging friend, Donna of Brynwood Needleworks! Woo hoo! I was like a little kid waiting for Christmas morning. I couldn't wait to meet her in person and give her a big giant hug! I went into the hotel lobby and there she was to welcome me with her bright beautiful smile. Big hug! Big hug!!! Happy Bunny dance!

Was Donna everything I thought she would be? Yep! Was she just as fun in person as she is on her blog? Yep! Did I wish I could have stayed for a few more days? Yep! Did I feel like I have known her my entire life? Yep!

Donna and I met through blogging over a year ago. Since then she has become near and dear to me. She is one talented lady with a heart of gold. Donna lives in Florida and was going to Williamsburg with her husband, Steve, (aka handsome) for the Williamsburg Consort. Steve is a percussionist. While Steve was busy in practice, Donna and I went out to play.

We went to a cute quilt shop called Love2Quilt. We also went to an embroidery shop and then had lunch in a French Restaurant. Yum! Donna has given me so many gifts of the past year and even though I told her not to bring me anything, she brought me this beautiful strawberry she made. I'm spoiled I tell ya! It was so nice to be able to talk with her and get to know her even better. I was sad to see our day end, but I am forever grateful that I was able to give her a hug, hear her voice and spend some fun time with her. Oh and now I can pronounce her last name! Woo hoo! (I told her I could never pronounce her last name and I've been calling her Donna La La! hee, hee, hee) Next year I plan on spending a couple of days with my friend.

Donna is celebrating 500 blog posts and is having a fabulous giveaway on her blog. Hop over and register for a chance to win! I know you'll love the prize and I know you'll love her just as much as I do!

Thanks so much for a fun day Donna. I'm so glad we are friends and I know we always will be. You are a treasure to me and such a blessing to my life. Looking forward to more time with you. :)

Monday Meetings - Donna Liljegren of Brynwood Needleworks

Sometimes in life paths may cross and an acquaintance is made. Other times when paths cross a lasting friendship is born. A friendship that grows stronger and stronger like you've known the person your whole life.

My friend Donna Liljegren, of Brynwood Needlework's, is a such a friend. Donna is one of those people whose warmth, kindness, and generosity can be felt even if you have never met her in person, which I have not, but look forward to the day I do. Please hop over and visit with her. Her blog is gorgeous and you will be glad you went to visit.

The other day I received this beautiful gift in the mail. Not only is Donna an wonderful person, she is also an incredible textile artist. She made this beautiful pillow for me in remembrance of my Razzy bunny. Yes, I cried when I opened it. I have been blessed by many gifts from Donna all of which I treasure. This pillow, however, was a blessing on my life. It shall sit on the settee in Bunnyville and help me to remember my precious baby boy.

Thank you for everything Donna. Your love, your friendship and your heart.
Love and friends always,
Shell

Hugs from Donna

I've mentioned many times before how much I love blogland and the fact that I can meet people from around the world without ever leaving my home. I truly love to read about people, their lives, their art and their critters. In fact, to me blogland is better than any TV show out there.

My friend Donna, of Brynwood Needleworks, is a true example of this. I have never met her in "person", but I feel as if I have known her my entire life. She is the kind of person that I would love to hang out with, create with, and share a lot of laughs with. She is real, genuine and truly a lovely person that I have been blessed by getting to know.

Donna has spoiled me with many gifts over the past year and the other day I received this.
A beautiful ATC that says hugs! How perfect is that since I sign most of my emails and correspondence with "hugs." Hugs of friendship! She sent me this for Valentines Day. I haven't received a Valentines in years and then there in the mail was this. Oh how I love it!

Donna is having a giveaway on her blog to celebrate her 300th post! Hop over and check it out! She always has fun giveaways and is one of the most creative people I know. The woman can do everything!! Tell her Shell sent you!

Donna, I'm forever grateful that wires, computers and blogs brought us together.

Hugs and Friends always,
shell

Lady Hannah Goldenhare - Nothing Gold Can Stay

Hello dear friends, It's been a minute hasn't it? My last post was over a year ago. I decided I wanted to stay in my bubble where it...
