Hoppy Friday - Fellowship of the Flowers!

Woo hoo! Fellowship of the Flowers signup starts now! I have been planning and working on this since August and have been soooooooooooo excited to share it with you! I'm about to pop! :)

So, here is a review of what Fellowship of the Flowers is all about.

·       Companionship: We will be stitching companions for 50 weeks. Every Wednesday starting   January 1, 2014 until December 17, 2014 you are invited to visit my blog for inspiring ideas on stitching your flowers.
·       A mutual sharing: We will share photos of our completed flowers and projects on Pinterest, Flickr and Facebook .
·       A group of people with the same interests: We will explore the world of Folk Art Fusion® and art quilting together. Not only will I teach you how to make the flowers, you will receive complete instructions for 12 projects using the flowers. Project instructions will be emailed to you the last Wednesday of the month.

·       An endowment for the support of a student or scholar doing advanced work: Your fellowship fee of $35 entitles you to 50 weeks of inspiration and learning. Upon joining, you will receive 5 flower patterns, a bonus bee pattern and instructions on layering the pieces. In addition every month for 12 months, you will receive a project using combinations of the 5 flower patterns and the bonus bee pattern. You are invited to share your finished projects, ask questions and be part of a worldwide group of friends. Your fellowship fee, which basically amounts to .70¢ a week, allows me not only to continue designing Folk Art Fusion® projects for your enjoyment, but it also allows me to support rabbit rescues around the USA in addition to supporting my family. For this the bunnies and I send our heartfelt thanks.

The first flower will make its debut here next Wednesday, January 1st. There will be a separate page here on the blog where I will keep all the flowers for the entire year so you can look at them any time you want. I will also list links to groups where you can post your flowers and share your artistry with other friends in the fellowship. Grab the button from my sidebar and pass the word!

So, are you ready to have some fun together in 2014?

Then sign up in my Craftsy Shop. :)

There's more! I'm so excited about the Fellowship of the Flowers wool felt kits! Each kit will contain all the wool felt needed to make the flowers in addition to the polka dot fabric for the bee's wings. But, it will ALSO contain 50 precut 6" Hexagons!! Woo hoo, one less step to do. Simply add your flower on top and get to stitchin! :)

The KITS are available in my SHOP and as an extra way to say thank you for joining me and the bunnies on this adventure, the first 20 people to purchase the wool kit will receive a FREE kit (shown above) to make the flower in Fellowship logo! Fun!

Lastly, my Folk Art Fusion pearl cotton thread kit is available. This is a size 12 pearl cotton, which is comparable to the three strand floss. I'm using the pearl cotton on Fellowship of the Flowers as there is more yardage on each ball and it should last the entire year. You can also use whatever threads you have available.

Friends are flowers in the garden of life. Thank you for joining us and for all your love and support. The bunnies and I are truly looking forward to spending an artful, creative and inspiring year with you. :)

xx,
Michelle and the Bunnies

The Adventures of Harrington and Hannah

Well, here we are. The last block in "The Adventures of Harrington and Hannah." I can't believe how fast this entire year has gone. It's been so much fun and we have loved every single minute we have spent with you. Thank you for purchasing wool, floss and fabric kits and for supporting our little business.

As I write this post, I can't help but think about how much meaning this last block has. After the events of the horrific school shooting yesterday, my mind drifts towards all the hatred, sadness, and utter anger that is in our world right now. It brings me to tears thinking of the parents of all those wee ones who's lives were stolen. My heart goes out to each and every single family.

Here is the last block in our adventure. Harrington and Hannah know that love is the greatest gift of all.

All we ever need is love. Bunnies know it. We can give love for free. We can open our arms and receive it. We can pass it along to each and every person we meet. Sometimes all you have to do is smile and you spread love. No matter what religion, race, or political view, if you wipe that all away, and think only with your heart, you realize the essence of everything is love.

Here's how the quilt turned out. I have border fabrics available if you would like to purchase some. Of course, there are still wool, floss and fabric kits available too.

Thank you so much for joining us on this adventure. We hope you have had a wonderful time. We look forward to more adventures in the new year. Hop over to our SHOP and get the block.

Love is the greatest gift of all.

The end.

The Adventures of Harrington and Hannah July Block

Did you know that honey bee's are disappearing because of problems in the environment? Without bee's, so much of our food will not grow. Mother nature created a beautiful design for for things to work together and when we humans do things to destroy that design, it can affect the future and the lives of those we love.

So, in honor of the bee's who's hard work bring us a bounty of food, Harrington and Hannah want you to remember that "You should always bee sweet to your honey."

We also want to send a huge thank you to everyone that grows organic vegetables as we truly enjoy eating them.  We are willing to pay a little extra money for a bounty that blesses the earth and doesn't promote destruction.

Hop over to our SHOP to get this month's pattern. If you are just joining us, we have National Nonwoves wool, Valdani 3 strand floss and fabric kits available.

Don't forget to join the Flickr group too! Following the link on the right sidebar.

Happy Stitching!

Happy Friday and a Sneaky Peaky

"We'd like two large salads with the 5 lettuce mix, some of your best timothy hay pellets, a bowl of your finest filtered water, oh, and a side of those freeze dried, natural banana chips."

"Waitress! Oh Waitress! What seems to be the delay? We've been waiting for over three minutes!"
"She is so not getting a tip."

Sorry bunnies. Mama is just busy as all get out designing new patterns and packaging orders from her book. In fact, here's a sneaky peaky of the next block in "The Adventures of Harrington and Hannah." It will be here this Sunday in our Shop!

How have you been doing with your blocks? I received a delightful email from Launa in California.    She doesn't have a blog, but sent me a photo of her blocks so far. Don't they look wonderful! Thank you for sharing them Launa! Keep up the beautiful work!

Happy Friday and see you Sunday!

The Adventures of Harrington and Hannah - March Block

Welcome to our March block! We're so glad to have you stitching along with us!

This month Harrington and Hannah welcome Spring and the return of all their friends. So many of their friends lost homes in the recent storms that Harrington and Hannah built new ones from recycled materials. Each home was filled with love as everyone deserves a happy place in which to live.

You can hop over to our SHOP and collect your pattern and instructions. Remember they are FREE! :)

We got another shipment of wool, floss and fabric in, so if you would like to join the fun, you can purchase the supplies in our SHOP as well.

Remember we also have the Flickr group (see the link on the right sidebar). We would love for you to join and share photos of your progress! Stitching is way more fun with friends!

Hugs to you and thanks sooooooooo very much for joining us on this adventure!

Monday post again and a Sneaky Peeky

Hellooooooo! Did you have a good weekend? Well, this is my second post for today. I received several emails from friends asking for a Flickr group to share their Harrington and Hannah blocks. So, I sat down this afternoon and figured out how to make one! Woo hoo! See the post below or the link on my sidebar if you would like to join the group. We would love to have you join the show and tell!

Ok, so on to the rest of Monday. I also received an email asking if all the Harrington and Hannah blocks would have snowmen? Nope! Will they all be holiday themes? Nope!

They are all different. Some may have a seasonal theme, but all will be about kindness, giving and the spirit of friendshilp.

Here's a sneaky peeky of the February block.

Then I received an email asking for some table top quilt and stitchery hangers. They are such a fun way to display mini quilts, stitcheries, wool projects, and art quilts. I ordered these and they are now available in the SHOP.

I also got these new Valdani 3 strand floss colors. Oooooooooooo....pretty!

Alrighty then. I think I have answered this weekend's questions. Hope your week is off to a good start. See ya Wednesday! :)

Happy Friday with Harrington and Hannah

Hello and Happy Friday!

Harrington and Hannah here with the notes from this week's company meeting!

First we're so happy that all of you are having fun with our Block of the Month! We sold out of wool kits and floss kits, but our new shipment will be in today if you want to order some!
Mama wanted you to note that if you purchased the wool kit from us, you have plenty of space to cut out all your Harrington's and Hannah's, but you need not be wasteful. Here's how her's looked on the piece of Sandstone wool. She said it's a good idea for you to go ahead and cut them all out ahead of time.

Now we would like to sent a big giant hug of thanks to Captain (mama's very close and dear friend, Michelle, who's a Captain in the US Navy. Mama calls her Captain cause she's so proud of her)!

She sent us this fun activity center! We have spent most of our week taking naps in it as mama can't see us being lazy in there!

Thanks so much Captain! We love it!

Next we want to show you what mama received from her dear friend, Jules of Adventures in Thread. Isn't this sooooooooo pretty?!? Jules' embroidery work is incredible as are all of her many, many talents. Thank you Jules!

Mama received this beautiful hexie mat and scissor fob from our dear friend Melody of The House on the Side of the Hill. Love them! The scissor fob is a locket and mama put our pictures in it!

Melody is also hosting a FREE BOM wool penny rug project! Hop over and check it out! Isn't this year so fun with all these wonderful wool projects!!
Finally, mama bought herself a new toy. She saved her pennies for quite a while to get it.
She said she needs to spend a lot of time this weekend reading this!!!

Please join us on Monday to celebrate the first day of the Dragon Year and our 1000 followers/friends Giveaway! Woo hoo!! We still can't believe all the friends we have made!

So have a fun weekend and we'll see you Monday!

              Yep, see you Monday!

Happy Friday!

The Adventures of Harrington and Hannah BOM

Woo Hoo! I'm sooooooooooooo excited to have you joining me and the Bunnies on this creative adventure! Each month will be a different block featuring stitchery, wool applique and patchwork! The finished quilt will measure 46" x 58". Each block will have a folk art feel and will feature Harrington and Hannah doing something kind, giving, or in the spirit of friendship. The blocks will posted in our SHOP on the 15th of every month under free designs, and will remain there all year.

Let's get this party started! :)

This month, Harrington and Hannah gave a carrot to a new friend. They know that sharing with others warms the heart and spreads love around the world.

There are still some wool, fabric and floss kits available and we will be getting new shipments very soon.

We also want to thank you for following along with us on this blog. We see we are almost to 1000 friends! Hmmm....may have to have a giveaway on that one!

Hugs and Happy Stitching!

Hello dear friends, It's been a minute hasn't it? My last post was over a year ago. I decided I wanted to stay in my bubble where it...
