A Beautiful Shop and a Winner!

A few weeks ago, I spent a Saturday with my dear friend, Bridgette. She and I love to go to antique stores together and explore little towns and the local shops that are in them.

We went to downtown Apex, NC and that is where we came upon Lilly's. BE STILL MY HEART!

Ok...so just the front entrance made me start to hyperventilate. Love the lights, love the greenery, love the wooden archway!

As soon as we entered, I knew I was going to need oxygen. Bunnies everywhere!!! Oh, and the fella on the right magically hopped into my arms and came home with me. Imagine that. ;)

I asked the two delightful, fun and charming fellas, working there (who I did not get a photo of, Duh!) if I could take photos to share with you. They said, "Sure!" with big smiles. Yes! Happy Bunny Dance!

The displays were absolutely incredible.

Check out that lamp.

I really, really, really wanted this chest of drawers. Like really! It would be so great when David asks me for the millionth time "Where's the so in so?" I could reply, "In number 5." Brilliant huh?

I loved how they tucked little lamps on shelves. The whole store felt so warm and welcoming with the soft glow of the lamps. I realize that fluorescent light bulbs are more efficient, but they are ugly and the light is cold, harsh and well, ugly. I shall miss the soft, warm, glow of incandescent light bulbs. I can't believe they are no longer making them. Poo!

A garden cart with birdhouses and bunnies. Sweet!

"Hey Bob, who's the lady with the camera?"
"I don't know, but I hope she gets my best side."

Love this cupboard, those lamps and the coffee sign.

"Hold me Mama! I'm scared of the paparazzi bunny lady!"

I have a thing for "Home" signs. Loved this one. Very clever.

And finally, I would like you to meet Calla and Lilly. Yes, they are real and they live in the shop! Lucky birds! Their cage is huge. It's hard to tell from this photo, but it is huge.

It was truly magical and fun here. Did you see anything you would want to take home? Do be sure and visit them if you are ever in Apex, NC. You won't be disappointed.

And now onto our Heart Winner.

The random number generator selected number 92 who is our lovely and dear friend,
Carolyn of Draffin Bears! Congratulations Carolyn! I have your address, so I'll post your prize to you right away.

The bunnies and I will see you right back here on Friday.

A Bunnyville Christmas - Part 2

The celebrating continues!

My friend, talented artist and fellow bunny mama, Natascha, sent me this beautiful gift. A while back, I was telling her that I wanted a bunny soap dispenser for my kitchen, but could not find one. I asked her if she could paint one for me. Then, like most things in my little pea brain, I forgot about it. Well, little did I know she was painting a very special soap dispenser for me! She painted Harrington and Hannah on a clay dispenser and then had it fired in a kiln so it will always look this beautiful. Can we say "HAPPY BUNNY DANCE!" I love it Natascha! Thank you so very much!

Next, my dear friend, Carrie, made me this wonderful zippered pouch and sent me this adorable bunny fabric and bunny buttons! Loooooooooooove! Thank you Carrie!

My fabulous, fun, stitching assistant, April, sent me this beautiful ornament.

I hung it on the tree next to the ornament she made me last year.

She also sent me these yummies! I looooooooooooove these candies. Needless to say, the box is empty. ;) Thanks so much April and thanks for all your wonderful assistance this past year.

Finally for today, I want to share these goodies from my dear friends Di and Miss Gracie (the cat). Last year Di made me hand warmers and I wear them all the time. So, this year she made me another pair! Looooooooooove! I'm wearing them as I type this. :)

She also sent me this fun picture holder and a wonderful apron. Thanks so much Di and Miss Gracie!

Well, I hope you have a fun day and get all your last minute gift shopping done. David and I are going to see The Hobbit movie. I can't wait!

Join us back here tomorrow for Part 3 of our Bunnyville Christmas.

Dieter the Dragon, Bunnies and a Reminder

Well hi there! Is it me or did the weekend just fly by? Are you ready for Wednesday and block two of The Adventures of Harrington and Hannah? I AM!!! I"M SO EXCITED I COULD POP!!!

Ok... I may have to go to decaf coffee in the morning. hee, hee, hee.

I wanted to show you the cutest things I got! I have long admired the folk art of my friend Deb, of Paxton Valley Folk Art. The other week I was visiting her blog and I saw Dieter the Dragon!

Isn't he the cutest thing?! I could hardly hit the purchase button fast enough! Since this is the year of the dragon and I love Deb's art, I just had to have him!

When Dieter arrived, he brought along a little friend, Miss Patchwork Bunny. Dieter was so glad she came to live here in Bunnyville too. (He's kissing her ears, not trying to eat her. Although the look on her face say's she's not happy with all his slobber.)

Thank you Deb! I just love them and I'm so excited to have your wonderful folk art in my home!

Then I got this surprise from Mary Flynn of Quilt Hollow! This gorgeous quilt mat!

Mary is an incredible Long Arm Quilter. I love this design so much, I'm sending her some fabric to have her quilt the design for some pillows. Cool huh? Thank you Mary! I love this mat and have the perfect spot for it! Hop over and visit Mary if you have a quilt you need quilted. She does excellent work!

Alrighty then, back to work for me. Have a fun day and I'll see you Wednesday with the next Harrington and Hannah block! Woo hoo!!!!

A gift of pillows!

I received a wonderful gift in the mail last week!

Judy Clark of 20 Northora sent me an email saying she wanted to make me a pillow for the bench in the "friends entry" of my house. How sweet is that?!

Well, she didn't make just one pillow, she made three and one of them has Harrington and Hannah on it! Woo hoo! Aren't they beautiful?

I know she said they were for my bench, but I have this wicker chair in my living room that was rather lonely.
I think the pillows look perfect here don't you?

Hop over and visit Judy in her etsy shop. She has so many pretty pillows! Thanks so much Judy! I love them!

I have postponed this weeks Monday Meeting as my special guest is super busy and is taking a blogging break. Plus, Saturday October 30th is my neighborhood yard sale and I want all of you to have the opportunity to view my bunny items first. So check back every day this week for a new item.

How it works. If you wish to purchase the item, you must EMAIL me, not leave a comment. The first EMAIL to me get's the item. I will then send you a Paypal invoice to your email.

SOLD! THANK YOU!Ok, so up today is actually two things because I think they look good together. You don't have to use them together, but they look good together, so why not use them together. Have I confused you yet? hee, hee, hee.

This sweet little bunny is a soft creamy color. He measures 7" w x 4" h. The pedestal base that he likes to hang out in measures 10" w x 7" h.  I'm asking $20.00 for the bunny and pedestal and the shipping will be $15.00 because the pedestal is a bit heavy. So for a total of $35.00 you can have this!
