As promised, these are the two "funkins" that David carved. I think he did a great job!
Funkins are foam pumpkins you can purchase at the craft store. They don't rot and last forever! You use the battery operted tea lights in them.
Frankenstein
and the Haunted House
I'm looking forward to next year's pumpkin too. David is going to carve a dragon as next year is the year of the dragon!
May all your candy collectors be as sweet as the candy. ;) David and I love to give candy to all the kiddo's and see their wonderful costumes. It's so fun!
Happy Halloween!

Love the funkins. Much rather those than real pumpkins. Look forward to seeing David's dragon as the Dragon is my Chinese sign. Hugs,
I love the haunted house one. David is certainly very clever. Happy Halloween to you Shell and David. We don't celebrate it here in Australia but it looks like a lot of fun!
Where is Hannah and Harrington? I would have expected "Hoppy Halloween" from them. LOL Just love the idea of the funkins - oh year of the dragon - lots of design ideas there. Treaters here will be in snow suits and boots - SNOW!!
Awesome work, David! Perhaps there should be a rabbit funkin as well? After all, it IS the year of the rabbit. :)
Great funkins.... so David is an artist too? Have fun at Halloween and look out for those ghoulies...

Pretty cool -- love 'em! :)
A Happy Halloween to you too! The pumpkins look fantastic.
Love your pumpkins, Shell! David did a great job.
Wow, those are great! Have a great time tonight. We don't get trick or treaters out here in the country. They all head to the subdivisions - more loot. Boo!
Love the funkins!! Have a wonderful Halloween!!
He did an amazing job Shell - I'm going to have to check out those foam pumpkins. Of course, I'll have a grandchild to carve them as I can't draw a straight line. :) blessings, marlene
Happy Halloween, Shell and David!
Wow, these are cool. ;-)
I wish we had Funkins here. They would be a lot easier to carve than real pumpkins. They also look very real.
David did a great job and I would like to see the dragon next year! ;-)
Shell, I'm back blogging again!
I missed catching up with my blog friends.
I have also done a Halloween post. It's good to be back!
I will be doing a post about your dragon painting sometime soon and I will add a link to Rasberry Rabbits.
Thank you for the fun e-card. I have sent you a reply message.
Many Blessings!
Hugs,

What wonderful funkins!! Happy Halloween to you and the bunnies!
Beautiful work...
I am going to get into my Smokey costume as I've loaned parts of the witch one to the Princess....I had better get all my treats poured out into the pumpkin bucket so I'll be ready.
Mama Bear
very impressive funkins...
Such attention to detail!
AHHH!! Frankenstein was a little scary! Seriously though, great job David! Who knew he was so talented too!
Wow you live in one very talented household. I came home from work early just to see the little ones who come out while it's still not cold only coolish. I'll have close to 400 of the little demons and ghouls and princesses. I live in a townhouse, 7 doors every 150 feet. amazinig. they come in by the van full. Will be a fun evening, short but sweet. Over and done by 8.
They look great! The house is my favorite!
Great carvings!!! Our only trick-or-treater got grounded this halloween - all those Snickers for ME!!!!
I am impressed...awesome pumpkin carving!!
Ohhh I've never even heard of fumkins...so cool...he did do a great job, go David:D
These are so wonderful, Shell. David is realllllly talented and I love the idea of adding to the collection each year, since they do not have to be thrown away. Judy C
