Happy Friday - Tea at Three with Mr. Biscotti Bunny

Happy Friday everybunny!

Today I thought I would share another one of my favorite things to do. My grandfather had a tradition that every day at 3:00 he would have a cup of tea and a cookie or a little snack. My sister and I truly love this. In fact, when I threw my sister a baby shower 9 years ago for my niece, Laura, I made a "tea at three" theme. Each guest got to take home their own tea cup. We had the best time.

My mom gave me this bunny cookie jar for my birthday back in March. I just love him. While most people would keep cookies in him, I keep my biscotti's in him. I just love biscotti's and tea. And, as usual, I name everything, so he is Mr. Biscotti Bunny.

I adore Stash brand tea. I usually have the Fusion, which is a fusion of white and green tea, or I'll have my long time favorite Earl Grey. I know you must be thinking it's weird to drink hot tea in the Summer, but I keep Bunnyville cool for Sugie bunny, so having a cup of hot tea is still wonderful for my scrawny bones.

I also wanted to do a shout out and thank you to my friend, Debbi Higginbotham, for sending me this adorable little bunny. It's so tiny, about 2". I have placed it up in Bunnyville on my work table so I can think of Razzy and all the inspiration he gave me. Thanks for this thoughtful keepsake Debbi. I love it!

Have a great weekend everyone. I'll be posting some new things I'm working on tomorrow and Sunday. I'm so excited to show you my new designs for Fall and a new Art Quilt.

I'm sitting here, reading your post at midnight, with my third hot cup of tea since dinner. It was hard getting this English girl used to drinking southern iced tea for a change! I still love my hot cuppas. I'll have to try your biscotti idea, too! Especially if I can find a special cookie jar(perhaps squirrel and acorns?) to store them!
Can't wait to hear about your wonderful weekend.

I love my afternoon treat, I am not a tea drinker, but every afternoon around 3 or 4, I have a cup of coffee with that luscious vanilla creamer, I just take a few minutes and regroup, grandpa and I would have gotten along just fine!

I'm converting to drinking almost solely green tea (rather than black tea). I like the sound of the Fusion tea you mention, white tea is lovely.

I love Biscotti Bunny too,

I see what you meant now, what a sweet little bun! :)

I don't drink as much hot tea in the summer, but on gray and rainy days, it's a tea day no matter what the season. I love Earl Grey tea; although I have a number of different teas that I will drink depending on my mood, Earl Grey is usually what I'm drinking. I love the smell and taste of the bergamot flavoring--I once even had a perfume that smelled like it.

Love Mr. Biscotti Bunny and lucky him to have a belly full of delicious treats! Sadly I'm not a tea drinker and am told I make the worst cup of tea ever but coffee, well that's a different story. My treat is a large cappuccino every night which as everyone knows with coffee means you'll likely to see the rest of the night through but hey! what an excuse for more stitching? Hi Michelle,

Love the little ritual of tea at three and a biscuit.
I am the same and enjoy my morning cup of tea and afternoon tea.
Love your sweet bunnies, how gorgeous is the biscuit keeper and the small bunny you got as a gift.

Hope that you have a lovely weekend

When I am home and not at work I usually grab a little snack at 3, not always tea, sometimes a nice mug of tomato soup. I love my tomato soup in a mug with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese! Or sometimes sour cream!
In the winter Hefs dad turns the heat down when we are both gone so I go straight for the cup of tea when we get home. I'll need to get some biscuits and biscotti soon!

In the absence of coffee, tea hits the spot any time of year! And it is already cold up in New Chilly England!

Hi Shell,
Are you sure you are not an English lady with your love of tea?
I'm also a tea fan, especially of English Breakfast.
Try Jasmine tea sometime. It is very good to drink after a heavy meal and it tastes of flowers! :-)
I love your little bunny gift.
Have a lovely weekend.
Hugs,

Hi Shell, love that cookie jar, how darling! I broke my cookie jar and I have been looking for an old vintage one.....don't know what but I do know I will know it when I see it!!!
when my kids were little I would make a tray of tea and cookies or "biscuits" and we would have tea each evening.....I gave the tray to my daughter to do this with her children. I love to pass on favourite things!
You have such nice friends, the little bunny is adorable, how sweet of her to send that to you!
Oh and you are not scrawny! You are slender, I love that word....slender!!! (and the BFF ever!!!!)
Hugs,
Mags

Shell,

I'm so glad you like the little bunny! He will hold your pins while you create!

And, I agree you are NOT scrawny! When I was young and, ahem, a lot thinner, a lady once told my mother I looked "willowy." Since then, I've loved that term. I thought I was just plain skinny 'til then!
