12 of Hearts BOM and a Giveaway!

Hi everybun!!! Well here we go! Our new BOM 12 of Hearts starts today! Yippeeee!!! I'm so excited!!

You may remember that I said this was going to be a "handmade gift" year. Well, this BOM project is sweet and petite! It will be fast and fun so we can get a lot done! Ok...I'll quit with the rhyming. hee,hee,hee. Anyhooooooooooo, this project really is fun and I'm hoping that you will be inspired to make a couple for friends and family to give as gifts.

Every month on the 12th, (mark your calendars) we will have a new, whimsical heart design to stitch. The finished piece will be a 20" x 24" wall hanging, or you can make it into an accent pillow, or you can make the blocks into sachets, or pincushions, or you name it!  

Even though I still loooooooooove my whites, I was fell in love with these colorful fabrics. I also have some friends that love color and I hold them very dear to my heart. So there ya have it, my inspiration for this design.  Hop over to my SHOP and collect your pattern and the instructions.

Next, on to the giveaway. Since this is going to be a handmade year, I decided that each month will be something to inspire creating or something handmade by me (for those friends that don't do crafty stuff).

Hi everybun. By now, I'm sure many of you have seen the horrific flooding that is going on in Queensland Australia. Living in my small town that was hit by a 500 year flood in 1998, I know all to well the devastation that it causes and the heartache from all the loss of life and life's treasures.

My dear friend, Jenny of Elefantz, lives in Queensland. She and many of the other quilt and stitchery designers are having auctions, collecting sewing kits and taking donations to raise money for flood victims.
Jenny is personally holding a silent auction for two of her Original pieces.

A $6.00 Find and a little Sneaky Peeky

I went to Wilmington, NC yesterday with my friend Lyd. I love Wilmington and could move there tomorrow. Lyd and I go on a little shopping adventure twice a year. I refer to it as "Country Come to Town." hee,hee,hee.

My budget this year was pretty slim, but I still had the best time. I found this cutie little cream and sugar bowl in Home Goods. It was only $6.00 for the set! Of course it's white. You knew it would be. ;)

I've also been busy up in Bunnyville on a new stitchery design. You know I love empty frames for inspiration. This frame is in my dining room. I start my "doodle" process and then tape the design on the frame. Then I walk by it for a few days and adjust elements in my doodle. Once it is to my liking, I make the final pattern. This piece will be called "Baroque Bouquets." It will be a 16" x 20" piece. I think you will enjoy making this elegant piece and maybe it would be perfect for your dining room! I'll keep you posted as work progresses.

Here is one of my favorite bunnies that was given to me by my old boss about 13 years ago. He and I both decided that Valdani JP 12 will be the best floss color for this piece.  I can hardly wait to show you!

Bunny Love Pillow

Well, I finally finished it and I can hardly stand how cute it turned out!!! Remember my post from last Monday "flat out fun day?" Well guess where my inspiration came from for this pattern?? hee,hee,hee. This was so much fun!

I think this makes the perfect project to give as a wedding gift, for Valentines, or just cause you love it! I have kits, patterns and the floss available on my website.

The kit has everything you need except the fiberfill. I even give you one of my favorite embroidery needles.

The fabric I stitched on is a paisley with hearts! This is in the kit too!

This project really got me in the mood for Spring. I can hardly wait!
