Happy Friday everybun! Did you have a fun week? I sure did! In fact, since Friday's are bunny post days, I just have to share a beautiful gift I received. I'll admit that at first it brought me to tears, but then the tears turned into big hugs for my heart.
You see awhile back I posted this photo of my precious Sugie bunny. My talented, artist and fellow bunny mama friend, Sue Jackson-Andre', said she liked the photo and asked if it was ok to paint Sugie's picture. I said, "Sure it is! How wonderful!" Sue paints pictures of lots of critters for people and she also makes them into cards and prints that she sells in Her Shop!
As many of you know, Sugie hopped over the rainbow bridge on April 19 due to illness from an awful genetic condition. I still miss her terribly. Little did I know that Sue had the painting on her drawing board. A couple weeks ago Sue contacted me and told me that she had held off telling me about the finished piece because of Sugie passing. She wanted me to have the original painting and asked if it was alright to make some cards and prints from it to sell in her shop.
When I opened the package and saw this beautiful piece, I was brought to tears. I felt like I could kiss Sugie's cheeks and feel her soft fur again. Many of you know how much I adore art with meaning and how I've been trying to fill my home with things that are made by artists. I must say, this is truly a treasure and I love it!!!! My tears turned into hugs. Thank you so very, very much Sue!
I want to invite ya'll to visit Sue and her bunny boy, Clovis (isn't he handsome!) at her Blog. Then hop over and visit her Shop to view all the beautiful cards and prints she has available. You'll even see a Sugie card. ;)
Have a wonderful weekend everybun! Enjoy every single minute, the people in it and know you are loved!
