So today, I wanted to share some quilts from two of my friends. First, is this original design from my friend Brenda Rigdon in Michigan. I love it!!! She worked really hard to get this quilt done for the quilt show. She had many a "marathon sewing hours" to get it finished up.
You may remember me talking about Brenda back in May. She has been a long time follower of my blog, but I got to
Next, I wanted to share a quilt from my local sewing group friend, Molly. This girl loves some color and belongs to the Modern Quilt Guild here in town. This quilt was part of a challenge from that guild. Molly is on the left and my friend, Jean, from last week's story on the right.
Molly is a retired air traffic controller. Cool huh?
I think it is so cool that Brenda and Molly both have and had the typical "male" dominated jobs. Go girl power!!! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay! :)
Well my friend, this little bunny needs to get back to paperwork...booooooring!! I'm headed to Chicago on Sunday. I have two chats and a play date with my friends at the Prairie Star Quilters guild. I'll be sure and take lots of photos to share with you next Wednesday.
Until then, light, love and hugs to you!
Michelle

Both wonderful quilts, thank you for sharing them with us. Safe travels
THAT WINDOW QUILT! How genius is THAT!!!!!!!!!!!! Goodness, you women rock the world. With your eye power (sewing into all hours of the night, something that would kill my weak eyes!) and your designs, your get-togethers, your IDEAS....outstanding. And don't worry, Shell...the new technology you need to learn? I'm with ya....I go back to school on Monday and we teachers have A TON of new things to learn with a new system being implemented. I'd rather face a room full of new sophomores than face a new computer system!!!!
LOVE ALL THAT YOU DO! And your new header is gorgeous.
You are going to be in St. Charles IL!? That's almost in my backyard, but I have to work that day and can't attend the workshop. Please post lots of photos from your trip and have a hoppy time!
Amazing quilts!
Love Brenda's pusscat quilt - and wow - what a colour explosion in Molly's. I see the header......:)xxx
Love the cat quilt. Just gorgeous. Molly's quilt is fabulous. Hugs,xx
The quilts are beautiful! The window quilt is so brightly cheerful and the "full color" quilt has a coordinating color palette somehow which still makes it soothing/exciting to look at. Clearly they are very talented quilters.
Best of luck with your busy schedule. Thanks for posting. Looking forward to the next batch of pictures. Hugs to you Shell
