It seems to happen every year around Mother's Day. I am delighted not only to see all the new flowers, trees and shrubs, but also the arrival of the new peeps.
This year Mama and Papa goose came to visit me with only one wee peep. I am surprised there was even one since there really are no nesting areas around my pond anymore.
Yet, a sweet little one survived. That fuzzy little butt and adorable face just melts my heart.
Mama and Papa goose are pretty smitten with the wee peep. Doesn't it look like their heads and necks are forming a heart around the peep?
Today I invite you to hop over and visit my dear friend, Jeri Landers of Hop Along Hollow Gazette. The post she has written about Tilly the goose will bring a big smile to your face and start your weekend off on a most happy note. Be sure and watch the video at the end.
Tell her the bunnies and I say hello!
Hoppy Friday Friend!
xx,
Michelle and the Bunnies

Hi Michelle they are very cute.xx
Ah....and love is found everywhere. These parents are so attentive, Michelle. We have tons of them, and the most endearing thing I saw one day was when I was driving to school. I had to come to a stop because father goose had crossed the street with his wings spread wide open. It was as if he was acting as crossing guard. His little family of goslings and mother were crossing and that father was hissing at me! When the family crossed, he stayed in the street. I honked my horn because I had to cross, and HE HONKED BACK! teehehehee...
Then this week on a very busy wooded road on my way to the high school, we all had to come to a halt because a sweet mama mallard was crossing with her fuzzy entourage following her. Then made it across then plopped into the creek! I can watch nature all day long. Much love to you today! Anita
OH! And I did see what Tilly is up to over at Jeri's! So adorable. Love knows no difference between species!
What a beautiful family!
As parents of one peep ourselves, this one tugs at my heart, thank you for the pictures.
Wonderful feel good story. Great kickoff to the weekend. Thanks !
MaMa and PaPa look so proud of their 'little' brood. And thank you for sharing Jeri's story - how cute.
It's rare to see only one peep. Goose parents are always so devoted.

Shell,
It was so wonderful to see you last weekend. You look great!
Thank you so much for the pitcher. It looks beautiful in my cabinet with my toile dishes. Seeing it reminds me of you and the fun time we had when I visited you in New Bern.
Have a great weekend!
