Things that make me smile BIG

It's Friday again. Good gracious! This week has been super busy, but really good. I sat down to write this blog post and looked back over the past few months of photos. So many things that made me smile BIG. I thought I would share them with you today.

First thing that makes me smile big? Having two of the most adorable employees ever. Just when I think I've seen all their cute poses, they do it again. Melt my heart they do.

Being married to a 53 year old man who still eats like a 3 year old and ...

who honestly believes I will be rich and famous enough from Folk Art Fusion to buy him a company car (his dream car, a ZL1 Camaro).

Being an Auntie to three amazing kiddo's, getting them all to myself for a few days in the summer and having a neighbor/friend who let's them swim in her pool. (Thanks Captain!)

Teaching the oldest niece, Laura Michelle, to quilt and use the sewing machine.

Having a niece with a kind and loving spirit, who loves bunnies as much as her Auntie (Hannah adores Laura).

Having a nephew who is super smart and thinks it's the coolest thing ever to help Uncle David with yard work. He's 11 and he's taller than me!!!

Having a little niece who piles blankets and pillows in the window seat because that is "her bed" when she visits.

Having a little niece with a hilarious sense of humor.

Making bunny pancakes just because it's fun.

Having a best friend for 33 years and getting to take a trip together every year (My best friend, Beth. We met in art class when we were 12). She is also the Creative Director for my new book.

Giant moths, with fuzzy butts, who come to visit on my porch.

Flowers in a city park that look like they came out of a story book.

Bunnies who nap behind boxes.

Driving through neighborhoods to discover adorable little houses with charming details. Oh how I do love little houses.

Making art, designing patterns, teaching and sharing it with the world (only 2 of these kits left).

Living the life I always imagined.

The end.

Have a wonderful weekend. See ya back here on Monday.

xx,
Michelle and the Bunnies

You and your employees are three of the "things" that put a huge smile on my face my friend....and I am so glad to have found you. OH DEAR how adorable are those TWO BUNNIES of yours! And your husband...teehee...I can relate. Males never, ever grow up. They think they can eat like when they were boys. Bless their hearts, literally....may their hearts be strong and cholesterol free!

Like you, I adore nature. The shapes and movements, the idiosyncracies of the animals, and little houses. How I love little homes.

So good to come here today. I've been thinking about quitting my blog, but today you helped me realize why I blog. If I lose readers, which I have BIG TIME, so be it. One must continue to do what they do because of at least a few people who care. MUCH LOVE! Anita

Dear Harrington, while Hannah might get attention from the nieces you will always be just a little more my favourite because you remind me of my beautiful boy who is no longer with me in life although his huge feet have left stamp marks on my heart forever.
You look similar to my beautiful boy and you sure relax like him too. Just seeing the pictures of you makes me smile. On day I will have another bunny and I hope that he is as cool and chilled as you and my boy.
Hugs (but gently!)

You are blessed, that's obvious. Somehow those two words at the bottom saying "the end" seem out of tune. "and so it goes on" sounds nicer. give your employees big hug from me. I still miss my bunnies and we talk a lot about them.

I just had to come back for more big love in the bunny department...you are just the best, Michelle. Thank you for your encouraging note today! And these two rabbits, they just melt MY heart...have a super weekend with that fun husband of yours, Auntie Shell! (That is exactly what my second cousins call my cousin Michelle, the one that looks JUST LIKE YOU!)

LOVE! Anita

All that above too.

But - what about the double-dip raspberry ripple ice cream cone in a waffle cone?

Love the tie-die shirts ... kids at Shoofly Farm make them too - have for years.

And all of that makes us smile, because anything that makes our Shell happy makes us happy! <3
