Hoppy Friday to you! I do hope you had a good week. Today I wanted to share something different with you.
Every single morning, for thirty minutes, I take a walk. It's a wonderful start to my day and something I look forward to. Monday through Friday, Captain joins me on the walk. We spend most of our time pointing out bunnies to each other.
Last Sunday, I took my camera along to photograph not only the bunnies, but some of the things in my neighborhood that bring me joy. So, are you ready to take a morning walk? Let's go!
One bunny.
My neighbors incredible gardens.
Two bunnies.
Three bunnies.
Purple Martin bird houses.
Bottle tree.
Four bunnies.
These shades of pink and green together.
The temptation to climb that ladder and sit in the tree.
The American flag.
Mushrooms. I think fairies live in them and decorate with a mid century modern style. ;)
Five bunnies.
Red awnings and a red door. That is their detached garage. I like to pretend it's a magnificent studio inside. That's what I would use it for.
My house from this angle, even on a cloudy day.
Six bunnies. This one is a baby.
My front porch.
Coming home to feed seven and eight bunnies their breakfast.
Thanks for walking with me. Have a fun weekend. See ya Monday.
xx,
Michelle and the Bunnies

Thanks for the wonderful walk through your neighbourhood. Funny thing earlier when i was unwrapping your parcel my thoughts went to Captain & then i see your blog post & you mention walking with Captain. :) Hugs,xx
Lovely neighbourhood - the birdhouses are great!
Gorgeous bunnies! Have a lovely weekend!
Thanks for taking me on your walk :)
What a pretty neighborhood you live in!
I can't believe this.....no wait....I can. But then again, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! My husband and I do the SAME THING, EVERY MORNING as the weather allows!!!!!!!!!!! We used to get around 50 bunnies on one walk! These days, we're lucky to get two! But last year, we would get maybe 15. We have this game where we don't want to end up with just 13; we need to get 12 or 14 but NOT 13! teeeheheheheee....oh Michelle, you are a sister in spirit. We too enjoy looking at all the lovely homes and gardens, the cardinals and the hawks, but most of all, the bunnies.
Have an incredible weekend, and Sir Harrington and Hannah-B look WONDERFUL! LOVE! Anita
What a wonderful walk, Michelle! Thanks for sharing this. I just love to see the world through another's eyes. You have a lovely neighborhood.
A wonderful post. I loved sharing your walk
I just got home from my daily walk and it is wayyyyyyy different from your walk!! I walk in neighborhoods where there are still some old pioneer homes and gi-amongous trees, but alas, no bunnies!! So I am happy to get to see bunnies seven and eight several times a week!! Thanks for the walk - it was fun!! I love the bottle tree and the red awnings!!
Beautiful neighborhood! Pretty place to walk! :)
I seem to rarely get to see a bunny in our neighborhood. Good to see you counting your blessings (and bunnies :-)
Hugs to 7 & 8!
What a beautiful neighborhood you live in and to see so many bunnies on your morning walk is wonderful. I have lived in the country and never saw that many bunnies in the whole time I lived there. Your red brick house is gorgeous. I love the look of red brick and sadly in this part of the country you don't see many houses made of it. Thank you for sharing your morning walk.
What a great walk. And I'm not even breathing hard. ;-}
Oh Michelle I did enjoy that walk, what a beautiful area you live, thank you for sharing , such a great post.
Bunny Hugs R.
Thank you for taking me along on your walk. Such a lovely neighborhood. I am thinking you live there because of all the bunnies. ;o)
Wonderful Weekend Dear...
Good grief girl, I live on 40 acres and have never seen that many bunnies in a month! You live in Rabbit Hollow for sure. What a beautiful tidy neighborhood
Thanks for sharing your neighborhood & all the bunnies with me! We've been struggling with "feels-like" temps of 110+ every day, so we have to wait for our walks until almost dark. Then the skeeters & no-see-ems are out, so we have to keep it short. It was much more pleasant going around with y'all!
Now I'm rip roarin' to go and inspired with creativity! Wait - it is 7:30pm ...
I like the gourd martin houses. I grew a lot of gourds a few years ago - big ones, bird-house ones, bowl ones, teeny ones. One day I'll find someone to paint them!
We have friends with a very similar blue-bottle tree.
Did you ever see the cute movie - "Because of Winn-Dixie"? First, it has Dave Matthews - of the Dave Matthews Band playing an interesting role and second, it also has a bottle tree - of quite a different nature! (Hopefully I don't have my movies mixed up ...)
Bunnies!!
I love that you go on an early morning walk every day to count bunnies! The bird houses are amazing!
Wonderful photos, thanks for taking us with you
OMG Funny! Love the bunnies and the walk :o) I was cracking up. I live in bunny hollow too. I look out the window and we have several that live in my gardens and plenty of babies every year.
thanks for inviting us along,we loved it,xx Rachel and Speedy
Although not as "glam" as your neighborhood I must be the house of choice for bunnies -- 6 or more in the backyard -- almost down to absolutely no hosta - -
The babies keep chewing the same place in the grass ;o] so the dog loves that place of mud!
Occasional chipmunk -- they must have moved on . . .
Dear Shell,
I so enjoyed coming on the walk with you today, thanks for taking me along.
How lovely seeing all the sweet bunnies on your way.
You live in a beautiful home and neighbourhood.
I find it a lovely way to start the day over here too, going out for a long walk.
Happy weekend
hugs
Carolyn
I love morning walks too Shell - the quiet and the birds especially though I rarely see bunnies. :( I'm so excited to tell you I put the binding on Harrington and Hannah last night! I'll post a picture soon. :) blessings, marlene
