My Book - Briarside Lane

Well, I honestly have had tears of joy running down my cheeks for the last two days. Quilting has been my passion since I started back in 1989. I have wanted to write a book since the late 1990's, when I was a quilting teacher, and I finally did it. Finally, I achieved my goal and today I celebrate my independence as now I am a full time artist, author and storyteller.

It truly means so much to have you here to celebrate with me!

May I present, Briarside Lane.

A book on what I call "Folk Art Fusion." A fusion of quilting techniques mixed with the fun of folk art.

This book contains 10 projects.

Each ranges in size, but all are very simple and fun to make.

The front and back cover show how they hang in my dining room. After all, art made by our hands or the hands of others is what makes a home feel like home. As quilters and artists, we all know the love and passion that goes into making something. I'm truly delighted to share Folk Art Fusion with you.

You can purchase Briarside Lane in my SHOP.

I also have the back ground fabrics, wool and Valdani 3 strand floss for sale.

I have not made kits for each project, but all of the supplies are available in my SHOP. If there is a particular project you want to make and are unsure of the wool and floss, simply email me and I will let you know what to purchase. Of course, you can always buy the book first and then decide on the project. Maybe you will want to use different colors. I  like to encourage creativity.

Lastly, I would like to thank my friend Karen, of Briarside Lane for allowing me to use the name of her blog for my book. Big giant bunny hugs to you!

Later this week, there will be information in my SHOP regarding lectures and workshops if you belong to a guild or a group that would be interested. I would love to meet you in person and share this fun adventure down the rabbit hole with you.

Sometimes it takes a little while, heck, even years for dreams to come true. But, if you always believe and never give up, dreams will indeed become real.

Hugs and Happy Independence Day!
Michelle and the Bunnies

Good morning my sweet friends!

I was so busy yesterday and away from the computer, but I celebrate with YOU TODAY this fabulous FREEDOM! I am truly touched and inspired by your message here....as I struggle as a NEWLY unemployed teacher (my choice) in order to follow my dream, I have been having moments of fear creep into my heart. Mostly out of NOT KNOWING which step to take first, I often wonder if I will fail. But your words here remind me that it will take TIME. You have arrived at your goal and now, sky's the limit for you. BRAVO AND WELL DONE MY DEAR! Hugs to you and the squishy bunnies! Anita
