Continuing with imagination

So lately, I've been having lots of fun imagining things. Every morning I get up and go for a walk really early. I like being outside when the day is fresh and new. I love all the critters, the sounds and the smell of the air.

Right now all the Mimosa tree's are blooming. I find them so pretty and they smell so sweet. I stopped on the sidewalk and picked up three little blooms.

Right away I imagined all kinds of things with these little blooms. They look kinda fancy in the bunny creamer my mom gave me. A fancy parisol? A hat?

Then I thought about Dr. Seuss. Oh how I love all the Dr. Seuss stories. When I was in second grade I use to read these stories to the kindergarten class (yes, I thought I was hot stuff).

I thought of Horton Hears a Who. I wondered if Dr. Seuss had Mimosa tree's in his yard and he imagined them into this story.

This video is my most favorite part of the whole movie. Katie just makes me laugh and laugh.

Have fun in your little world today.

xx, Michelle and the bunnies

~ ~ ~ Thanks for the memories ~ ~ ~ ~
We had one of those mimosa trees in our front yard years ago. As a kid we climbed in that almost every summer day!

My grandparents had a mimosa tree that I loved as a child. I thought the flowers were so pretty. I would beg my father to plant one, but he did not care for them. I hardly ever see them anymore. Thanks for the photos and happy memories!

Cute elephant. :) I, too, love mimosa blossoms. They are so impressive when the whole tree is in bloom.

Such pretty flowers...I don't think I've ever seen them before (maybe we don't have them Down Under, better go talk to Mr Google about that) and immediately I thought they were pretty faery dresses/skirts...but I think you may be on to something there with Dr Seuss and Horton Hears a Who...

Ahhh... so that's what those tree's are called. Thank you! We have one in the front of the house we moved into 3 years ago... and it's a strange tree. But when it's in bloom with all those pink flowers the hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies can't stay away... and it smells so good. Thanks for helping me find the name!! And happy creating!
