Work'in on it Wednesday Folk-Art Fusion Lecture

Time is flying!

On March 12th, I gave a lecture on my Folk-Art Fusion to the Foresyth Quilter's Guild in Winston Salem, NC. It was so much fun!

Such a wonderful group of people and such a fun quilting guild!

I love sharing Folk-Art Fusion with others. So what is it you ask?

Well, it's a "fusion" of techniques. It's wool applique, a multi tone on tone background, patchwork, machine quilting and hand stitching all combined with a Folk Art flair. Oh and fusible web!

My first book, Briarside Lane, should be out the end of May. There will be 15 different projects to make. It's lots of fun and I can hardly wait to show you!

Here are some examples of Folk-Art Fusion.

I was delighted to stay with the Vice President of the guild, Carrie Pippins! Carrie is such a fabulous person as is her husband and daughter!
Carrie spoiled me with homemade soup (she made special for me because I'm a vegetarian) delicious bread and all of these goodies! Plus I got to sleep under a handmade quilt in her guestroom! Loooove!

She needle punched this bag! Cute huh!

She also stitched this adorable tea towel.

They were wrapped with bunny ribbon!

Thank you Carrie for the wonderful hospitality and for inviting me to speak to your guild!

Looking forward to sharing Folk-Art Fusion with you and maybe giving a workshop too!

So what are you working on?

Hugs!
Michelle

Oh Man. You are getting famous!

But listen - I got a gig doing a one hour talk about the first Earth Day (April, 1970) on this Earth Day, April 22! Other than making sure my pants are zipped have you got any tips? Maybe I should take a couple bunnies to pass around! Anyway, that is what I'm working on.
