Inspiration on a Monday. I'm loving this!

It's still so cold outside and rainy, which makes it more cold. On days like this I like to have lots of tea or coffee, my cozy quilt and spend some time getting inspired. My favorite way to do that is to "window shop" with the computer and take little decorating quizzes. Even though I pretty much know my style, it's fun to see how it evolves over the years. Doing this gives me lots of inspiration for creating new quilting and stitchery designs.

So on Saturday, I hopped over to Ethan Allen and took their "what's my style" quiz. It said I liked the Loft style and particularly the Hayloft Style. "The Hayloft style is modern country, down-to-earth but smart and stylish. It is practical yet chic, black and white blanced with earth tones. It's perfect for a rustic space or city apartment. Fabulous without pretense.

Then I saw this bed!!!! Helloooooooooo fabulous without pretense!! Love the curves, love the color and love the quilt! Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner on the inspiration chart!

So then I got to thinking about the 12 of Hearts stitchery we are working on (hop over and get the free pattern from my Shop) and how the colors will tie in perfectly to this look! Love it!

Then, after I stopped laughing from all your fantastic comments from Friday's post, I decided to add some fabric strips around Charlie's (I've now named him that) neck. Then I found this willow berry wreath thing and I put that in the bucket for him to sit on. I like all the texture, pattern and contrast with the black bucket. (again, I call all containers buckets) I think Charlie looks like he is sitting in a briar patch. Love it!

I will be doing follow up posts on Charlie based on some of the hilarious comments ya'll left for me. That was so much fun! Until then, I'm going up to Bunnyville to design a new pattern to debut on Valentines Day. I'm so inspired!

Have a fun and magical week and find something to inspire you! Oh and if you take that style quiz, I would love to know what your style is!

My style (according to the quiz anyway) is "glamour". I like the sound of that, although I usually refer to it as "eclectic" since I don't really stick to any one style, I just go with what I like. :)

As for Charlie (great name), I love the additions but he still looks like he's "doing his business"--I think it's the way he's posed, which looks a little like he's squatting. Mickey kind of looks like that when he poses in his litterbox (assuming he's made it to the litterbox ;) )

I Love Charlie's new look! I especially love fuzzy willow. It makes me happy. Will always remind me of my Nana.

Charlie looks pretty happy in the bucket!
The quiz was fun. It said my style is Villa. Not too sure about that. Lots of lovely things to look at on the site, it's been a long time since I wandered around there.

So sweet of you to stop by to visit Elle today. She is a MESS!!!!!!! But these fur babies do bring happiness to our homes don't they! I am sick of this cold yucky weather. Aren't you? I read a bunch of Somerset Magazines with an extra cup of coffee to entertain myself this morning. HUGS!Charlene

Charlie looks happier now that his bucket has been accessorized. My style is Metro, I guess that means I can move to the urban one room loft of my dreams, at least in my dreams.

according to the quiz my style is is Loft. Loft is energetic. Fashion-driven. Practical. Materials borrowed from industry, architecture, and nature. Clean shapes. Punches of color. Spontaneous and fresh. Kids and pets? Bring them on.

I am not sure...
I am not fashion driven, don't like architecture and kids?? no thanks!!
but animals? yeah, bring them on...
nice quiz though...thanks!

Sounds just like the way my day has gone weather wise. The sun was out for just a bit this morning but its been blustery and wet ever since. I'm loving the 12 Hearts project.

Most excellent for Charlie to be in a briar patch - the bucket looks fantastic.

I have yet to meet a red/black/white anything that I did not like. Wonderful for you to have all that inspiration.

Very pretty bed! I have several styles - those I love, and those I can actually live with, lol. Charlie looks very comfortable there, love the tie 'round his neck!

I love the additions. Adorable...great centerpiece. The first thought that came to my mind is, how great that would look as an Easter center piece with a few eggs.

I took the quiz and found out I am a Loft. Which I tend to agree with - except the fashion driven part!

1. A quiz. Who is Charlie Bucket and what is his father's job?

2. Hayloft style fits your two bunns perfect!

I took the quiz and came out "Villa". I wasn't too sure about that. From the description, the only part that seemed like me was the "without fuss". Then I looked at the Villa Verdigris rooms, and was drooling. It's what I would have if I didn't live with the people I live with, who came out "Early Caveman" in the quiz!

Apparently I like Loft too - funny thing was, I didn't like many of the choices at all - then I had to pick which bothered me the least! It was fun though, and I like quizzes.
Hope you have a good design idea week!

Now, I'm sorry, but Charlie Rabbit is pooing, and I don't think he'll stop (it's that expression, I did tell you).
So - I did the quiz - I am, apparently, 'villa'. I told Andy and he looked at me, sympathetically, as if I was a sick person. I don't think this flat is ever going to see any style ( or more decorating!)xxx

Hi Shell:
Great decor inspiration, and I love Charlie's new digs! A perfect spot for a bunn to perch.

Shell,
I didn't take the quiz yet, but I LOVE that bed. And, I thought about the fabric you first showed on your first block. I'm loving the colors.
Looking forward to this month's block.
