I was just wondering what your opinion was? With or without?

With or Without? Your opinion?
Here is my couch with my new quilt that I just finished putting the binding on. While it is convenient to have the quilt here for nap purposes (yeah right, like that ever happens), the "clutter free" person in me tends to like the couch without it. I think it looks more elegant without it.

Lady Hannah Goldenhare - Nothing Gold Can Stay
Hello dear friends, It's been a minute hasn't it? My last post was over a year ago. I decided I wanted to stay in my bubble where it...

Ok, so I know I should be thinking about Christmas and all the festivities etc., but I can't help it. I'm eagerly skipping ahead to ...

With.....Love the room...love the couch...love the rug...love it all!! I think the quilt breaks up the white without being to busy or cluttered.
With. I'm not a clutter-free person, more messy organized; but I think it adds some warmth.
Shell: From what I can see you created a fabulous quilt! It's beautiful. Now, about "the look". I can see, with your uncluttered sensibilities, how this might bother you. If you want to have a little nap cover up on your sofa, I think this is the one. But, truthfully, I do love the sofa "without". I don't think I'm much help, girlfriend.
Hugs,
Donna
Ok - I agree with you that it looks more elegant without, but - I would also like to see your beautiful quilt unfolded and spread out so it can be seen in all it's glory in another location! x
With, for sure!
Lovely work! I thin that with encourages a dialog between the rug and the couch (my Syd would make short work of that piece of furniture). Without the couch seems more like an island........I think I like with.....
I am like Jules I would love to see your quilt spread out. It looks beautiful. I am partial to having one laying on the back of the sofa. I use mine to cover up with of an evening when I am watching television. We keep our house cooler then most because it helps my son breathe easier with his asthma. Either way you home is beautiful. Your Missouri Friend.
Your quilt is gorgeous and would love to see a pic of the whole quilt. That said, I like the couch with the quilt....Your home is lovely and which ever way you decide do so to please yourself.
it does look more classic without it but it does not hurt it either. The colors blend in perfectly. Maybe you can drape it on the arm of the sofa.
I guess I tend to be leaning to the "a little bit of clutter" side. The quilt is an invitation to sit and rest a while. I really does look beautiful either way.
Hi Michelle! That quilt looks beautiful, I'd also love to see it unfolded. I can't decide! The room and the couch are sooo beautiful either way...but a nice cozy quilt nearby when you're chilly or looking little cat nap, is sooo nice too! I can't get enough of your little bunnies! xo Paulette
Your home is lovely. I wish I could be that clutter free. I do like the room without the quilt, but it gives a homey look to the room. It looks like someone nice lives here Chris
I love it with the quilt I would keep it there. Your home is a beauty!!
Keep the quilt. It makes the room look warm and inviting. Your home looks lovely.
I like the room either way and your quilt is beautiful. I think I honestly prefer it with out the quilt - I like the clean crisp lines.
I like it with....
I say with. What a great spot to display all your hard work!
Definately with!!! It really makes the room look cosy~

Hi Shell, I'm a clutterbug but in this case I think it looks better without, how abolut trying just a soft drape of the quilt maybe on one side. In the end it's what makes you happy. Well done on finishing your quilt.
hugs - Miche'le
I don't think you could possible go wrong- your home is lovely
Quilt is beautiful - impressive no matter where you put it :)
I say with. It still looks uncluttered with the quilt but the quilt adds more dimension to the room. If you can't decide, put the quilt on every other day! Ha.
P.S. Can you show us the whole quilt or have you already done that?
I'd say definitely with the quilt. Looks bland without it. Your home is beautiful.
I am giving my opinion without reading the others. but I think the quilt gives it pizaaz and draws the eye to it. I love that look. Just sayin'

If it were my room (and a beautiful one at that!), I would fold that in thirds the long way and drape it over an end of the couch behind the pillow, so you don't see if at first glance, but it's there if you need it. Are my instructions understandable?
Shelley
With. Yep, definitely, with. It adds warmth and life to the room...gives it a personal touch that says to me "I'm finished/complete now".
I like it, but my house is much "busier" than yours, decoratively speaking, of course! I do appreciate your simplicity in decorating, less is more, and it's beautiful.

Oh Shell, I love the quilt, might look better at my house, hehe, just kidding. If you want the impact of it on your couch, with the quilt, then the curtains should be white so your eye is only drawn to the quilt. The couch looks lovely as it is, but your quilt is sooooo beautiful, it needs to be shown! That's my two cents as a decorator but from me as an art and quilt lover....it should be on the couch.....
Not much help am I? Your home looks so beautiful!!!
Hugs,
Margaret B
With! It pulls the pattern and color up off the floor.
I think you should keep it! I like the addition of color but I know you like things clean.
With, for sure--while the couch is quite lovely without, the pattern of the quilt just adds a bit of the "wow" factor, plus it really shows off your lovely work in a place where everyone can not only see, but enjoy it.
Hi Michelle, show us your quilt please! without - I say drape/fold it over the footstool or the arm of the chair opposite the couch.
With!
