These pieces give me that "French Cottage" inspiration when I'm designing my quilt and stitchery patterns. I love them for their color, tone and texture. And, yes.... because they're bunnies.
So here is a little peek into my latest quilt design. It's white and creams and is done using the fusible applique method. There will be twelve 16" blocks. It takes me about an hour to stitch around the design on one block. Then I have to piece the rows, add the borders and quilt it. A lot of work, but totally worth the effort as it will look perfect on my couch.
Hopefully I can share the finished piece with you next weekend. Until then, I wish you loads of inspiration hopping in.

Hi Shell,,, I love your creamy white bunny collections. Its so you! I bought a white ceramic bunny in cape cod and everyone immediately thought of you. LOL I actually have a collection of bunnies too! I will have to take pictures too. I love the new piece you are working on, and I cant wait to see it finished!
Happy Creating.. gail
Shell, I always look forward to your blog as it includes the kids! Hehehe! Your bunny collection is very soothing...the quilt block is going to be gorgeous (I don't sew) Is it really difficult to do?
Shell, I love your new design. Your bunny collection is beautiful! I love the shades and textures of white. I have several busts and of course teddy bears that inspire me.
Can't wait to see that new design finished!

Great bunnies, all of them. And, since I have been doing machine applique A LOT, I look forward to your new project.

The bunnies are great. That is a lovely collection, but Razzie and Chloe are the best. Love those two goofballs! Cannot believe you will have a quilt finished in a week, I tried quilting for a short time. Had (and still have the quilt top) one nearly done all hand quilted when we had a house fire. Had to discard the backing and the batting and just never got the heart to start again.
Thank you for the support you've given me on the my blog, it means alot.

Love your bunny ornaments but Chloe and Razzie are the best inspiration.
I get inspiration everywhere, magazine/book covers, landscapes etc. I think if you create we tend to have our eyes wide open all the time looking for details and colours.
Have a great week.
OMG we have a similar rabbit butler (The tall one standing, with the basket)We call it the rabbit butler because Hef's dad pus his keys and his phone in the dish so he knows were they are. He sticks his wallet inbetween the bunnys ears!
Shell, I just love reading your blog to see and hear about your rabbits. I am so in love with them!
Can't wait to see your project finished!

Hugs,

What a wonderful collection of buns. There are quite a few I wouldn't mind having....very nice indeed, Char
Poor Chloe! How is she doing after the operation? My vet told me that molar extraction is a lot more difficult and she has not done it before either (the vets here don't have very extensive experience with rabbits yet).
Lots of good vibes to you and Chloe, we hope her root infection goes away. It sounds like Chloe's getting strong antibiotics (from your description, it sounds like Chloramphenicol.. not sure about the spelling :P ). I would like for Hans to get stronger antibiotics, hopefully the vet is agreeable to that.
Nose bumps to Razzy & Chloe :)
Hi Shell...hope Cloe is doing well.
LOVE all your bunnies and the beautiful items you create.
