Time for a Pet-i-Cure

First of the month and time for the dreaded Pet-i-Cure as we call it here in bunnyville. I'm not sure who hates it most, the bunnies or David. They all seem to give me ugly looks and complain. David's duty is to hold them with their feet sticking out so I can chop those nails and try not to make them bleed (only had it happen once, it was awful). We put a towel down on the chaise lounge and get to chopping. Razzy usually starts breathing really hard and making noises we call "chicken bunny" noises. He really is a fuzzy chicken. Chloe stomps her foot in pure disgust and David yell's "will you hurry it up already." Oh the pressure! While they are here and already in a bad mood, it's the perfect time to get the loose hair off Razzy. He's got such a fuzzy butt.
So they have been foofed, fluffed, and clipped and the ordeal is over for yet another month. The bunnies get a carrot and David get's the TV remote and there is peace and happiness again in bunnyville.
Have a great week.
Hugs,
Shell
This week IGF movie time with Lyd and my first pet sitting job.

Morning Michelle

Rozzi and Chloe are lovely, don't fancy your job with the nails. why is it all animals think you are killing them when really you are only trying to help. My dog always gives me filthy looks when the ear drops come out. Better me than the vet I think.

Hi Michelle,
The bunnies are really cute. I loved your story, but I don't envy your clipping job.

Poor bunnies and hubby! Have you hear of the new nail clipping thingy. I actually think its peticure. I have seen it on tv and its supposed to be alot easier and no worry of getting the quick. Big congrats on your first pet sitting job! Its all up from here..luv,gail

Too funny! Sounds like my house when the dogs nails need clipping and butts need defuzzing!

Cannot be any worse than trying to get the knots out of my Persian boy! But don't you love the looks and the snorts you get from them!
I keep telling mine that people pay big money for manicures and pedicures...they should be glad I do it for nothing!!!

Ohhhh looks like fun. sigh I am considering having someone come to the house to do Willie and Wy's...the last time I took Willie to the vet they had to sedate him and he was drunk for days.
Ya'll seem to have a good method. Wanna come visit here? LOL

I love your title! How fun, I didn't realize how much work rabbits were! Thank goodness it is once a month, I am hoping you get yourself a pedicure once a month as well! You deserve it!

Hi Shell,
They keep our lives interesting, don't they....those cute little critters. Your Rozzi and Chloe are about the cutest, but I don't blame them for being upset...after all, making them sit still while you poke and press them?!? Can't wait to hear about your first pet sitting job...I just know that it is going to be fun for you! Thanks for the great post!!

Hi Michelle, You crack me up! Your babies are so cute, I had bunnies growing up but they were the outdoor kind. Good to hear that everyone is OK, the hubby too! Hope you have a great week!

Michelle, Your bunnies are so adorable. I've had rabbits several times in my life & I love the little guys (after they get over that obnoxious adolescense stage). Have you seen that new pet nail grinder they are advertising on TV? I'm tempted to get it for my 4 pups cos it's a nightmare trying to clip their nails.
Oh, in answer to your question, I haven't done Cricket on the Hearth or the Christmas Market Show. I've been meaning to do the first but havent heard much about it lately so I'm not sure its still out there. Christmas Market is out of my reach financially at almost $600.

Shell, you are so entertaining with your funny and sweet bunnies (and with hubby!) I can't even imagine trying to clip bunny nails. I cannot clip my puppy's nails at all. But I'm terrible at the grooming too, so she goes to the "beauty parlor" once a month and feels like she's being pampered instead of tortured by me! You have a wonderful way with animals. Congrats on your first pet-sitting job. AWESOME!
