Happy Friday and Happy Halloween!
I hope you have a wonderful and fun time with your little ghosts and goblins this evening. David and I always enjoy seeing the kids in their costumes.
Here's a little video from Lindsey to start your Halloween off with a little dancing.
Hugs and see ya back here Monday for some really fun quilting show and tell!

Week 44 of the Fellowship of the Flowers and our October project
I had so much fun making our October project.
I wanted to make something to put on this little table stand. Table stand projects are perfect because you can change them out like you do with your garden flags. Plus, your projects lay flat and don't take up much storage space! :)
Friends in the Fellowship will be receiving their email instructions for this project today. There is still time to join us! Please click on the Fellowship of the Flowers tab above for all the information on how to join. Membership signups are only available until December 17th.
Do you need a table stand? I have 12 of these 6" x 12" stands ON SALE in my SHOP. They are normally $25 and they are on sale for $20.
I also have this triple star stand. Each section is 4" x 9". It is also on sale. They are normally $20 and are on sale for $15. When they are gone they are gone. I will not be getting any more of these in.
This is the flower for week 44.
I used a thick green yarn for couching.
Here's how it looked before stitching.
Only 6 weeks to go!
Hugs,
Michelle, the Bunnies and Sabrina too

Looking forward to 2015
Hi ya! I know, I know, it's not even Halloween and I'm looking forward to 2015. Well, when you are a designer, you start planning for the new year in the summer! :)
I'm truly excited to share my "Blessings of the Month" with you starting in January of 2015!
First, I want to send out a HUGE thank you hug to Madam Samm of Sew We Quilt for designing this beautiful logo and button for me! She always amazes me with her many talents and all the energy she has. Hop over and visit her blog. There are tons of wonderful blog hops, tips and fun things to sign up for. Oh and there are PRIZES to win! Woo hoo! Plus, if you need some graphic design work, she would be happy to assist you.
So what are the "Blessings of the Month?" Well, I will be totally honest with you. I have been truly worn out with all the sadness, negativity and hatred in the world. I decided I wanted to do something to shine light, love and happiness on all of my friends.
I'm half Irish and half German and decided to combine Irish blessings with the look of German fraktur into my own Folk Art Fusion style. Starting January 1st and going through June1st, there will be a new blessing each month. However, there will be NO signups, and each blessing will be it's own project. So, you can pick and choose the blessing project you want or collect them all and spread some love and happiness to your family and friends.
I will have wool and Valdani thread kits available for each, but again, you pick and choose the ones you want. No pressure, no UFO pile of unfinished BOM's and no worries. It's a time to create something beautiful with your own hands, simplify your life and spread a little love.
(one of my favorite pictures in my house)
So there you have it. Of course, I will have other designs coming throughout the new year as I love sharing my passion with you. The bunnies, Sabrina and I truly appreciate your friendship and support so we can continue on this adventure.
One last note. I wasn't able to attend Quilt Market in Houston this year, BUT I made the cover of the catalog! How cool is that!?!
Have a fun day and we'll see you back here on Wednesday for the Fellowship of the Flowers October project! ;)
Hugs!
Michelle, the bunnies and Sabrina too

Hoppy Friday - Naps on the Porch
Hi ya! Did you have a fun week? I sure did. I have been working on some new designs for 2015. I'm so excited to share them with you I could pop!!! I'll give you some details in a few weeks.
Today I wanted to share my back porch with you. I am truly blessed to be able to work from home. While it is rather lonely sometimes, the trade off is the freedom to work whenever and wherever I want.
At the end of summer, I got these new cushions on clearance. We're talking major clearance! Yipeee! I think they look pretty good. The tree has lights in it, which is so pretty at night. I would like to paint the concrete next year or maybe put some slate tile down.
The tree is fake. This is the only real plant I haven't killed. David takes care of the yard. Thank goodness!!
Speaking of yards, this is the view of my back yard from the porch. I love to watch the sun on the water throughout the day. It's magical. Plus, I truly love to watch all the wildlife visiting the pond. It's so fun. It use to be all forest back there and then the neighborhood grew. I still really miss all the trees. They were beautiful.
I'm not really a "lunch" person per say. I like breakfast and dinner food best. So, instead of taking a lunch break, I take a power nap. I'll stitch for a while on the back porch, do paperwork, draw or answer emails. Then, I'll take about a 20 minute nap. I must say, it's one of my most favorite things to do.
So what about you? Do you take naps on your porch?
Hugs and hoppy Friday!
xx,
Michelle and the fuzzy ones

Week 43 Fellowship of the Flowers
Week 43 is here already. Only 7 weeks to go! I can't wait to show you this month's project!
This week the daisy returns.
Here is what it looked like before I stitched it.
I also added the baby rick rack.
There have been a bunch of requests for baby rick rack so I have added some available in my SHOP. There are one yard cuts of ten colors.
So what have you been working on?

Michelle and the fuzzy ones

Following the light
Hi ya! How was your weekend? Mine was wonderful! It was a weekend of quilting. I went to a guild event, more on that next Monday and spent the weekend finishing up the piecing of my PHD (project half done).
The setting sun was so beautiful that I decided to photograph this quilt top outside. My fence seemed to be a perfect spot. I have had the blocks for this quilt since 2005! It's for my best friend, Beth. Thank goodness she doesn't redecorate her house that often. I haven't made a pieced quilt in years so it was fun to work on this for a change although it was also difficult as I'm not very good a "scrappy" quilts. I think it turned out okay and I know Beth will like it. That's all that matters. It's heading to the long arm quilter on Tuesday.
After I photographed my quilt, I got sidetracked in the yard by my little apple tree. Again, I loved the look of the setting sun against the red of the apples and green of the leaves. This is my most favorite time of year.
As I entered my house through the "friend" door, I stopped to turn on my willow lantern. I love how this lantern looks here and the shadows it creates on the wall. I think it is a warm, cozy welcome to all my friends.
Light, love and hugs to you,
Michelle, the Bunnies and Sabrina too

Some random Happy things for this Friday.
Hoppy Friday! I hope you had a fun week. It's beginning to cool down around these parts and finally starting to feel like fall. Yippeee!
There were many things that made me happy this week. First was going to my favorite town here in NC, Wilmington. David finally had off from work so we went down there for the day. We had a wonderful lunch and I had my Starbucks' grande breve latte. We also drove around and explored more of the area. We even drove past a film crew! We were wondering if they were shooting for the Sleepy Hollow TV show.
This is a cottage I'm in looooove with. I want to move into this neighborhood and live in this house. I wonder what the owners would think about me constantly stalking their house. hee, hee, hee
Isn't it the cutest? I love the green.
I spent a bunch of time in Bunnyville this week working on a special project. Here's another sneaky peeky. I'm keeping my bunny ears crossed that something special will come from this project.
Of course while I was working, I had to stop and pet the bunnies a million times. Harrington's wonky ear and his soft little self, always makes me happy.
Hannah's star on her nose always brings me good luck. I'm happy and grateful that while her health issues still flair up and will never go away, I have managed to keep them under control. She is such a lovey girl and blesses my life every day.
Sabrina had her hysterectomy a week ago and is doing really well. She has decided she likes to hang out and play in our whirlpool. Hey, at least somebunny around here likes to use it! ;) I have a video on my Facebook page if you want to check it out. I haven't been able to get a good photo of her yet. She's always wiggling around!
Finally, I was so excited to be able to see the moon eclipse. I love the moon and this was a totally cool sight.
So, what made you happy this week?

Fellowship of the Flowers week 42
This week the cone flower returns.
The little baby rick rack returns too.
I thought some french knots would be fun on top.
How are you coming with your flowers and projects? Have you tossed them all in a pile until winter? hee, hee, hee.
Hugs,
Michelle, the Bunnies and Sabrina too

It will be here before we know it
I know it's not even Halloween, but we all know Christmas will be here before we know it. Plus, if you are a person who makes gifts, you already started a long time ago.
I'm going to make some postal fusion postcards for a few friends.
I've been playing Christmas music for the last two weeks as I've worked on mine.
They make a wonderful gift for the person who has everything.
Who doesn't like getting a piece of art in the mail?
You could also attach a little ribbon to the postcard so they can use it as an ornament on their tree.
It would have your special note to them and the date. Fun!
My Postal Fusions for Christmas pattern is available for instant download in my Craftsy Shop.
I also put together a few kits and have them available in my SHOP if you would like to get hopping on your Christmas presents.
Hugs to you and have a fun week.

Hoppy Friday! A little local music.
So two weekends ago we celebrated Captain's birthday in a really fun way.
She was lucky enough to have country music star, Bryan Mayer perform in her garage for her birthday.
Now it wasn't that he just decided to show up for her birthday.
Bryan is a local fella and each year he donates his talent and time to different charities. It's his way of giving back.
Our dear friends, Rick and Marie Phillips (aren't they cute?) placed a bid at the Heart Ball and won Bryan's talents for an evening.
Captain and Eric offered to host the event and have a pool party, but after months of trying to get everyone's schedules to work out, it ended up being Captain's birthday weekend and instead of a pool party, it became a garage party.
Bryan is an awesome fella and he's soooooooooo tall! Everyone laughed and laughed when I had my photo taken with him. I'm 5' and he's 6'8".
It was such a wonderful time together laughing, dancing and celebrating with friends. Happy Birthday Captain!
Here are two songs I really love of Bryan's. Enjoy and go look him up on Facebook!
See ya back here on Monday.

Fellowship of the Flowers Week 41
Hopping right along with week 41! I just want to send a sincere and heartfelt hug of thanks to everybunny who is a member of this group. I am so glad you are enjoying this adventure with me and the bunnies. I truly appreciate your kindness and friendship. Life is so much more fun sharing it with friends. :)
Here is this weeks flower stitching inspiration.
This is how it looked before I stitched it.
This week I again wanted some simple stitching.
Sometimes a needle pulling thread can calm one's nerves.
Hugs to you and see you back here on Friday.
