What the Heck Wednesday!

Razzy looks like I feel!

Ok so this is totally weird and not like me at all. Most of you know that I eat pretty healthy and not a whole lot. Well I don't know what got into me today! On Monday I started walking 2 miles from 6:00 am until 6:30 am before work. I've been wanting to get some exercise in my day for a long time and well... this is the only time I can do it. So get outta bed and get going. Well... now I find I'm really, really hungry! Not only that but I'm craving weirdo food combo's at dinner time. When I got home from work tonight, this is what I ate in this exact order: Spray whip cream right outta the can, shrimp egg roll, peanut butter cereal bar, red wine, tuna fish with dill seasoning and some multi grain crackers. What the heck is this all about!!! Now I think I'm gonna go puke. What a gross combination! Hmmmm..... I guess we'll see how this goes the rest of the week. Has this ever happened to you?

After those gross thoughts of nasty food combinations, I'll leave you with some pretty pictures of the first roses from my yard. I love them. They look so pretty right now. Soon the bugs and brown spots come so I'll enjoy these photos with you.

See ya on Sunday.

Blog Post 109 and the Giveaway

Helloooooooooooooo and welcome to my 109th Blog Post! I know, I know, most people do a giveaway at their 100th, but 9 is my lucky number (as I found out last year at the art festival from a woman that has magic powers, knows these things and know's how to figure it out). Plus the fact that I love odd numbers. Well it made perfect sense to me and so I'm having a giveaway for my 109th. It's my blog and I can make my dorky rules. Just go with it. hee, hee, hee.

No, Princess Chloe Pudd'in Pie is not the Prize. I know you want her. She is sooooo darn cute, but she's mine.

First I need this. Can I just say that April has been the month from Hell!! I promised myself that as of 5:00 today when all the chaos was over that I would have a nice glass of wine and just take a darn break! Ever have one of those months when everyone and everything is pulling at you? I swear I think every activity for all of 2009 decided to show up in April! I'm down right giddy that it's all over. Well.... maybe the wine is making me giddy. But giddy I am!

Ok.. back to the giveaway. Pretty simple. Leave a comment, but it must be something dorky or silly because I want to laugh. Laughing is one of my most favorite things to do. I want to LOL! I'm stressed, I'm tired and I need some FUN! So, leave me a dorky, dumb, silly, or goofy comment and I'll enter you in the giveaway. I'll have my coworkers pick the winner next Sunday.

Here's your prize. A quilted Doodle Book featuring my signature bunnies. Blank pages inside to keep all your doodles, weird thoughts, dorky comments, or things you would like to say out loud to stupid people but you would get in trouble so you write them down instead. Did I type that out loud? hee, hee, hee, it's the wine.

Oh, one more thing. Sue, I can't wait to see you on Tuesday for you to fix my hair. Note to self. There is a reason the hair color at Walmart is only $9.00. The color on the box is NOT what you will look like. Some things are better left to the professionals. Quality hair coloring is gonna have to make through our new recession budget. Geez...

Have a great week everyone.

A little peek of things to come

Today I thought I would share a little sneak peek into some new stitchery designs that I"m working on. I'm hoping to get them finished by May 1st and have the patterns ready too. These are going to be so fun to make. There's something about sewing and doing simple stitcheries that makes you feel calm and happy. I don't know about you, but I'm ready for calm and happy!
So here's your little peek of things to come.

Here's my color palette I'm working with. I just love these soft, muted colors.
Oh, and of course a bunny picture. Razzy and Chloe just finished their lettuce and parsley. Yes... they eat out of a fancy dish with roses on it. Everyone, even bunnies should dine on fine dishes, cause every day is special.

Have a great week everyone. Check back on Wednesday.

"Hay" What's Up Wed, April 15

"Hay" what's up? Razzy and Chloe are enjoying some hay. Of course I'm always telling them to eat their hay cause it's good for bunny bellies. I say this in a baby bunny talk and they seem to listen. Well kinda..... yes... I'm nuts....can't help it... they're cute. hee, hee, hee
So this is the other piece I completed this weekend. This is my "Roses for Laura" pattern. This piece was custom ordered, but I'll have the pattern done soon so you can make one for yourself if you like. It's really fun! Measures 16"x20".
Then I have to wish my nephew, Jonathan, a very Happy 7th Birthday! Love you my sugar! Happy Birthday!
Love auntie.

The Bunnies are Here!

Mama are you done yet?

Can I see it? Can I see it?

Just in time for our Easter table and well... heck in this house it works year round!

Here is my finished "Rabbits of Rosewood" tablerunner. It measures 19 1/2 x 50 1/2.

It features my signature "bunnies" and roses with applique. This is a great pattern for any bunny/rose loving quilter and would look perfect in your little French Cottage. The pattern will be available on my site shortly.

Have a great Easter everyone!

What's Up Wed April 8, 2009

Mama said she is really busy with lots of projects and said you should check back with her on Sunday to see her new designs. So we thought we would just show you some more pictures of how cute we are. "Mama paid us with a carrot to say this."

It's so hard to find good Help

I've spent most of the weekend up in Bunnyville working my "buns" off to try and get some things completed. As usual I have more projects and more deadlines than I have hours of my life. While cutting, sewing, ironing, and being covered in thread, I happen to look over at my two co-workers. While I'm bustin my "buns," these two buns are on break. Again!
So I decide to let it go and continue to work on these designs which I'll post next Sunday after they're done and I'm not trying to take a picture with no daylight!
Suddenly I realize that it's mighty quiet in Bunnyville. I turn around to find this!
And this!!
Not only did they get an extra long break, but now they're sleeping on the job!!
"Secretly I'm jealous."
I inform them of their poor work performance, lack of enthusiasm and their laziness. They then proceed to remind me that they are in charge of PR and Marketing. In their job description in states that they are to be as cute as possible and be available for every photo opportunity of cuteness. Dag.... they got me on that one.
Then they demanded a bonus carrot.
Have a great week everyone. Hop back and visit me on Wednesday.

What's Up Wed, oops, it's Thursday

Well so much for posting yesterday. The day got by me and then had book club at night so that got by me too. It's 6:24 am so that counts for something. hee, hee, hee!

I just wanted to share the coolest things I'm offering for sale on my site. Bunny Embroidery Scissors!!!!! Years ago one of my quilting students gave me a pair as a gift and I have always treasured them. My new patterns and stitcheries will be coming out very soon and I will be carrying all the "Hare Necessities" to go with them! Fun huh?

These reproduction "Hare" embroidery scissors were cast in France. They are forged stainless steel and I think they are the perfect little set of scissors for any bunny loving, stitching enthusiast.

Hop over to my site under "Hare Necessities" if you would like to purchase a pair for yourself or as an Easter gift for that Somebunny special.

See ya Sunday!
