Prest'O Change'O!

Hi ya! Are you staying warm? Good gracious it has been cold out. I can't imagine living where there is all that ice and snow. I think I would be frozen solid the entire winter! hee, hee, hee.

Today I wanted to share a few photos from my dear friend, Kat. She and her sweet mom are two of my bestest customers. They enjoy making my designs and I must say, it makes me smile so big that they enjoy them.

Remember my Bridgette Butterfly design?

Well, Kat turned hers into Michelle Monarch! Isn't it pretty? I think the colors pop. Of course, I'm also flattered that she named her after me. ;)

Kat has my Fabled Fusions book and a while back she asked if it was ok to use my star applique from the "Wish Upon A Star" quilt to create a baby blanket. I told her, "Of course it is!" It makes me super happy when my designs inspire someone to create a gift for someone else.

So here is the baby quilt she made using the star applique shape. Cute!!! Her assistant, Roary, is there for quality assurance as she bastes the quilt. What is it with cats wanting to lay all over everything you are working on? I tell ya, I put a piece of paper on the bed and Sabrina comes running like a maniac to roll all over it! Crazy cats. They make me laugh.

So what have you been working on during this chilly season? Do tell!

Hi, Shelby:
Such a sweet interpretation of your design! You inspire fiber artists at every turn, my friend.

Glad you're finding ways to stay warm. It's even chilly down here!! (I'm not complaining. I do not like that really hot, steamy summer weather here, so this is a welcome break.)

Hope the rest of your week (well, actually your whole life) is perfectly wonderful, my friend.

(Your prior post from Hannah is adorable. Tag and The Black Dog send smooches to Hannah...and to their Aunty Shell).

Love the Michelle Monarch! Oh, and you can't go wrong with Snoopy and Woodstock - very cute baby quilt. We are wickedly cold here in NY, not a lot of snow - but brrrrr.

Well, well, WELL! Great creations and kitty...teeehehee....they are so curious!

SHELL! Your nimble fingers must be dancing away coming up with new and fun ideas for spring time! And while waiting for the cottage to be ready, your ideas are keeping your mind off the inevitable task of moving in; but you will love it and make it home.

What have I been doing? Besides work, taking PHOTOS! I am improving and I'm even setting up a website to maybe (I say, MAYBE) sell my photos on cards. We shall see but I do know that 2016 will be a year of taking more risks. Why not?

Hi Shell, Dropping in to see what you have been up to lately and I love your designs. It is cold here with snow on the ground, but we didn't get the ice for which I am thankful. Hope they are progressing more on your new home. Take care. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri friend shirley

Both butterflies and the quilt are adorable....what a compliment for someone to make a quilt from one of your designs.

I am working on so many projects that sometimes I worry that I will mix them up....hope your home is coming along nicely.

Michelle Monarch is beautiful!

Cats love to jump on anything you're working on because they hate not to be the centre of attention
