Woo hoo! Today is our day and the Bunnies and I would like to send hugs and thanks to the fun and fabulous Lesley for hosting this event and to the lovely and talented Madame Samm for organizing and helping to bring all of us together!
Sooooooooooo, today we are delighted to bring you our "Christmas Folk Art Tree."
Most of you know that I love to work with wool, fabric and floss. This 12" finished, 12 1/2" unfinished block is my own folk art design. It's fast and fun to make and would look great as a block in a sampler quilt or as a mini quilt like I've shown here. You can also use all fabric instead of wool and fabric.
I love to combine hand stitching and machine quilting. It think it gives lots of dimension to a quilt. Plus, you can take it with you for the hand stitching part and really get something accomplished while your waiting somewhere like the doctor's office for 3 hours! hee, hee, hee.
The borders are a simple four patch with a button in the center. I think it looks like presents lined up beside the tree.
I have a wool and floss KIT available in my SHOP along with the whimsical table stand (all hangers and tablestands are marked down 15%)
Now, since this is all about Christmas and the spirit of Christmas is all about giving, we are giving away our Christmas Folk Art Tree mini quilt! (just the quilt, not the table stand).
To enter, leave a comment on this post. If you are signed up as a follower (see the side bar), you will receive two chances. The Bunnies will use the random number generator to select the winner this Monday, August 6th.
And, since we love to give presents, here is the link to the Christmas Folk Art Tree pattern! Enjoy!
