Time to reflect

Last week I was in Destin, FL with David and his family. It was cold and cloudy, but the sand and surf were still so incredibly beautiful. We were suppose to go in September, but the hurricane interfered with our plans.

I don't have photos of the cottage decorated for Christmas to show you. I've been traveling so much and we are in the middle of some renovations. I will share them with you shortly. Plus, our tree didn't fit and we had to get a new tree(s). Plus I've had some dental surgery and I have ugly teeth and then I got a rash on my face from some lotion. All I need is an ugly Christmas sweater and I will have total UGLY Christmas!! LOL!

Oh well, I'm just going to spend some time reflecting on all the changes and things that happened this year and start looking forward to all the exciting adventures to come in 2018.

Until next week, have a wonderful Christmas. May all your wishes come true. I want my 4 front teeth for Christmas...but it looks like it will be New Years instead. ;)

Hugs and friends,
Michelle

Yeah, that pesky hurricane messed with quite a few plans...I always say, if you want to hear God laugh, make a plan!

You're such a beautiful person, inside and out, I just can't imagine you having ugly anything!

Glad you got in some beach time...that's always rejuvenating for me. Can't wait to see some decorating!!! Stay well my friend! Hugs & pets to all...

No matter the weather or the season, the ocean is a majesty to behold. May your holiday be filled with the peace it was meant to bring us. LOVE to you dearest Shell and family!

What a gorgeous photo! Dental issues are no fun around the holidays when people are taking pictures. You are more beautiful than you think.

Destin has the most beautiful beaches! I live about 2 hours away so we go down every so often. You could never look ugly, you are beautiful inside and out. Merry Christmas! Hugs,

Oh my--it does sound like you need to stop and just 'breathe' for a bit--
you have had a very busy year--actually couple of years here in a row--with building new house, living in an apartment, then selling new house and moving again--plus your new teaching travels--yep my dear time to just chill for a bit--
and as for teeth--that is a sore subject--I had crooked teeth all my life and couldn't wait to have some pretty straight teeth with dentures (there was not ever a time when I could get braces) well--about 3 years ago it time for the dentures--but--I can't wear them as I am allergic to the stuff they are made out of--I am lucky as most people don't even realize that I dont have any top teeth--but still---
hopefully your mouth, face and all else will clear up and you can get on with life and having fun with your sewing--
give all fur kids a hug--and know that I am thinking of you--
enjoy the moments, di (yes even dental moments!!)

Dental work is always a pain (!) but hope that it all gets fixed soon. Have a lovely Christmas and it is all about being with family and friends not the trappings but I am sure you know this. Thanks for sharing all the lovely quilts and things from Houston, really enjoyed all the posts. Christmas Hugs, Susie xx

I believe in magic - don't you? Stop fretting as we were not meant to fret - it just isn't pretty. We are the seekers of truth, love, light and pixie dust. Please do not give the obstacles another moment of your time. It is Cristmas and time to settle into what we are shown is worthy of our energy.

We have a new rule at our house for all six children - it is the 24-hour rule. For the amount of time we spend cleaning, de cluttering, buying the food, cooking and making dessert and cleaning the yard, we need more return for our investment of love. If they cannot stay more than 24 hours, they should perhaps choose another date to visit. We are exhausted after the lastest visit.

No one will be home for Christmas again. Big oh well!!! Marty and I will relish the time and invite neighbors in for Christmas brunch. Their children are also busy making their own family traditions. Looking to start our own new tradition around here on the block - the "Wise Ones" -what do you think? I know we can come up with a better name.

Bless you and David and have a very Merry Christmas - from our house to yours - we really are all rowing the same boat into the new year. Love Judy and Marty

SHELL! Thank you for coming to my blog! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! We are loving the quiet but is it ever cold out there. We hardly have any snow this year but the winds are sharp and aggressive. Inside however, it's warm with another Christmas memory, together.

Happiness and health to you dear one, as we enter a new year!
