Hoppy Friday!

Hoppy Friday! Did you have a good week? I did. Of course it flew by like it normally does, but so many things to be grateful and happy about.

First, yesterday was my 46th birthday. I had a fun day with my friend, Lydia. We've been friends since 1997. It's hard to believe it's been 17 years already. We had a wonderful lunch and then laughed over a coffee, about how we are aging and agreed that face creams after the age of 45 are useless. I'm grateful to have dear friends to grow old with and grateful for the smile wrinkles I get from spending time with them. :)

So many things I have thought about with this birthday. So many things I have learned over the years and so many things I find I really just don't care about any more. Funny how what was important at 26 is meaningless at 46.

One thing that never changes in all the years is my deep, never ending love for bunnies. It's been forty years that I have had this love affair with these little creatures.

It's always an adventure with them. A joyous, happy, heart breaking, wonderful, precious adventure.

This was a quilt I really liked at the Mid Atlantic Quilt Festival. I'm a fan of Alice in Wonderland (like you couldn't guess).

"Off with her head." I feel like I want to do that some days when I look in the mirror, but then I smile and remember the adventures that got me to this, my 46th year.

Hoppy Friday!

xx,
Michelle and the Bunnies

You are beautiful, and the lines that we acquire are well-deserved for the time we've put in to laugh, to cry, to work until way past our beauty sleep time, and more. Many more beautiful birthdays to you, darling Michelle, and I will be 56 in April, and I am grateful every day that I've made it this far still feeling like a young woman, but also growing UP with more ideas and hopes.

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, my friend. Bunnies and all other lovely creatures are such a gift, aren't they?

Happy Birthday Michelle!! It sounds like you had a wonderful day. I have a best friend that I've known since 1999. I love being with her, even though she lives over 1000 miles away. She is coming next week to visit for a couple of days, and I can't wait! It's wonderful to have such a dear friend. Enjoy your year. They only get better :-)

Happy Birthday! You share a birtday with my sister. Yes, it is nice to get to an age where you find that certain things that were important are not any more. I am glad you had a great day with your friend.

DONE!! it's called "invisible toast". people are loving it and i'm so happy to be working from home now...the boat, yes we live on a BOAT! please email me a quickie when you get a chance. i can see you're ridiculously busy, so no big deal if you don't have chances anymore. i am so happy for you!!! you're doing it all!!! so much love, patricia, nuage and tolly girl

A belated happy birthday wish to you Shell - and many more! I agree that with each birthday we become a bit more introspective. Every year I drop off a few more of the unimportant worries and pick up the important joys. It seems to be that when I was 27 I was very busy, at 37 I was busier, at 47 I was busier still, at 57 I tried to slow down and it didn't work, and now at 67 I finally get it - to slow down and enjoy what and who is around me takes a conscious effort on my part. I've never been sad at getting older and I have to say that I'm still not. Each birthday brings something new to love. blessings, marlene
