What a week.

Miss Hannah honey bunny is doing very well. We have one week of antibiotics down and one week to go. Like most of us, Hannah does not enjoy taking medicine. Twice a day I pick her up, put her on my sewing table and syringe the medicine into her mouth. The following is an account of what I have had to deal with.

Hannah, you can't hide. I know you're over there.

I know you are holding very still and pretending to be a statue, but I know you're real.

Pouting doesn't make a difference.

You can threaten to run away from Bunnyville all you want, but you won't like life on the outside.

I know you are telling Harrington all sorts of bad things about me.

You just went potty. Stop pretending you have to go again.

Yes, I realize you are never ever going to talk to me again, like ever!

It doesn't taste icky. Dr. "E" gave you raspberry flavor and you're a Raspberry Rabbit for goodness sakes!

Snuggling with Harrington in "cute factor" mode only works for a few minutes. You still have to take your medicine.

Did you just give me the finger foot?

Don't lie. I know you did.

Oh alright. You can have a banana chip if you take your medicine. Yes, you're cute.

That's my good honey bunny. Mama does love your fuzzy little self.

The bunnies and I are sending light, love, and prayers to my mom, the bunnies grammy, Ellen. She was suppose to have a pacemaker put in yesterday, but the hospital had a power outage! Bunny ears crossed that she can have it done today and all will be well with her heart again. Love you mom/grammy!

It's been a crazy week for everybunny I know. Must have been the full moon.

See ya Monday and don't forget the big sale in the SHOP. Everything is going fast, so get it while you can!

xx,
Michelle and the Bunnies

Oh, I recognize quite a few of those avoidance tactics; Mr. Mick does the same thing when he knows he's getting a nail trim or a butt bath or anything else bunnehs just hate.

Now Miss Hannah, you be a good girl for your mama and take your medicine so that you are feeling better soon! We cannot have a sweet bun like you being sick and unhappy.

We'll be thinking lots of good thoughts for Grammy Ellen as well.

OH MY GOODNESS this was hilarious to watch your "struggles" with this stubborn little lady! She really digs her heels (wait, do rabbits have heels?) into the ground and says, "NO, MOM!" But you are a good mummy and persist. Oh dear, the photos Michelle, she is SO CUTE!!!!!!! And I saw it, I SAW HER GIVE YOU THE FINGER/FOOT! teehehehehhehehe and she looks at you so sternly! This was the cutest post, and it could be in a storybook. I SWEAR....

AND WE SHALL PRAY FOR YOUR MUM! She is so beautiful Michelle! What a smile, like you.

Do let us know how she fares? A power outage? Oh dear....

Much love to you all, and Hannah Banana....NO BANANA chips for you until you take all your meds!

St. Melangell is a Welsh saint and she also the patron saint of Hares. I think it is a safe stretch to include bunnies.
That means we can ask her not only to pray for Hannah and Harrington, but since your mom is a bunny memaw, she gets included!
Beautiful St. Melangell, you who stand before the Throne of God, boldly ask for healing and mercy, health and happiness, to the creatures fashioned with His own hands and breath, Hannah Rabbit, and her Memaw, a woman is who is precious to you and her family, and still needed in this world to make it a lovelier place.

It has indeed been one of those weeks. Ours was filled with cat concern and cat ER visits and a few very similar stern looks from a cat who is tired of medicine and does not want to take a breathing treatment. Sigh. But our week is ending with less worries about him than we started with, and I"m glad to hear yours is the same where Hannah is concerned.

So sorry your mom's procedure was postponed. That's so hard, because you really gear yourself up and then have to do it again, another day. I hope that by now the pacer is in place and all is well.

Oh, Hannah!! I am so glad your Mom is getting that old raspberry medicine down you and ya know, giving your Mom the foot is not very nice!! On a more serious side, Shell - big prayers for your Mom - let us know how she is doing!!

So glad Hannah is doing better. Yes all the tricks to get out of taking the medicine...well documented dear. Prayers for your mom/grammy to get better too. Hoppy Weekend Bunnyville...

Hi Shell, oh dear a bunny upper respiratory infection... that's not good at all! Tell Hannah that at least the vet gave her raspberry flavored medicine. When Josephine got sick our vet gave her the pink bubblegum flavored stuff and I can tell you she was not a happy bunny... both of us ended up being pink during those two weeks! LOL!
I also hope all goes well with your Mom!
Hugs,
Beth P
