Red, White and Blue Folk Art Stars

Welcome to the Red, White and Blue Blog hop created by the fun and fabulous Madame Samm of Sew We Quilt and hosted by the lovely Jane of Jane's Quilts and Fabrics.  The bunnies and I are so excited to share our block with you!

As many of you that follow my blog know, I love mixing wool and fabric as well as hand stitching and machine stitching all together. So, I decided to create this 12" finished block doing just that.

Please note that you can use all fabric for this block if you would like and use fusible applique or needle turn applique.

It was lots of fun to make this and I think it's a really cute mini quilt that you can display. I have the wool, floss and quilt stands in my SHOP.

Of course, we all love a giveaway, so I made my block into this mini quilt as the giveaway! All you have to do to enter is leave a comment on this post. If you are signed up (on my right side bar) as a follower, you get two chances. This giveaway is open to everyone, everywhere whether you are a quilter or not. (Just the quilt, not the quilt stand)

The random number generator will choose the winner Sunday, July 8th.

Click this link to get the pattern and instructions for my Folk Art Stars.
http://www.theraspberryrabbits.com/editor_uploads/folkartstars.pdf

Then, please hop over and visit with our friends, who are also sharing their blocks today!
Sharon P, Snoodles, Kris D, Quilts from My Crayon Box and Elaine. Woo hoo party!!

You can also Click Here for the master list of participants.

Thank you very much Jane hosting such a fun event!

xx, Michelle and the Bunnies

OK I feel a little bit like I'm 'cheating' :-) but it's still the 1st here on the west coast and yet I'm getting tomorrow's treats today! Your block is beautiful and looks like it would be fun to make. It would also be fun to have your original come to decorate my quilt stand :-) Thanks for the lovely pattern and the chance to win.

Michelle, just love wool. I like the variegated thread so will have to look into your hutch a bit further. Like to say I would buy but have a commitment to crewel embroidery on wool/cashmere rug - Elizabethan work.
Love your interpretation of red, white & blue which would fit with navy blue sled bed and newly bought red hot water bottle. I am in South Australia - but aware of the dreadful fires. Take care.
