My boys and I used to say that every night when they were small...I still say it!

Ooooooooh, pretty moon. It makes everything look so magical at night.

Of course, the full moon also keeps me awake as well. I got that from my grandfather, the legendary Milo, who would go outside (weather permitting) on moonlit nights when he could not sleep and light a fire in his handmade fire pit. Since my family all lived in the same area, we could see the fire from our windows, so we would all go over to join him. We'd bring food and drink and sing by the fire and talk and laugh until the wee hours of the morning. The fire became our "full moon party" signal, and even now that my grandfather's long passed away and we no longer live so close, my mom will call and let us know that she's got a fire going, so we can go over and have a little full moon party once again.

I LOVE everything about the moon. Now that it is summer, I think I need to take an evening where I just reflect upon this magical ball up in the sky and dream of bunnies dancing under the moon with little flutes!!! Have a fabulous day Michelle! Anita

A very nice thought indeed. If you ever get the chance read the book, "Fingernail Moon". You will come to love a fingenail moon.
