Work'in on it Wednesday - Purple Posies

Down Briarside Lane there are pots with purple posies.

This is another piece that will be in my Briarside Lane book. Several have asked if I will have kits. I will have wool and floss kits.

These are the Valdani 3 strand colorfast, handoverdyed, floss colors I used for this project. I think they are so yummy!

Speaking of yummy, I have a dinner party to go. I recently helped two really sweet people with decorating their new home. Their prior home burned to the ground and they lost everything. Their little dog, Corky, saved them. I had a wonderful time helping Ed, Carole and Corky to make a comfortable, cozy and warm home in which to make new memories for themselves and their grandchildren.

I got them a little house warming gift and I just had to share my wrapping with you. I loooooooooove to wrap presents! It's just so much fun!

So what are you work'in on this week?

xx, Michelle

Hi Shell, I always enjoy coming to see what you have been up to lately. I am working on a friendship lap quilt at the moment. I got the boys t-shirts done and my youngest wore his to show in. Have a great day. I got to go to work. Hugs from Your Missouri Friend.

Oh, those colors are luscious & yummy together! You really do have an eye for that (and for creating such pretty designs, too!!)

Your wrapping is much to special and gorgeous to mess up by opening. I think I'd be tempted to just lay the box on the coffee table or hearth, just as it is & admire it for months! I wish you had been with us when we had to furnish our new home!! We moved from our RV into a house, and all we had was....ummm...actually, we had nuthin! Oh, let me correct that...we had a serger & two sewing machines and a couple tote boxes full of scraps! :)

I hope you share pictures of their new home, if they let you!

Lovely posies--and I wish you were up here so you could wrap things for me! You are so awesome at wrapping gifties and I am just gawdawful at it.

I am currently working on--what else?--a baby blanket. This one is almost done, which is good because I need to have it wrapped up (and wrapped up!) before Monday, which is when the baby shower is taking place.

another cute mini quilt.
that is so neat that dog saved the couple. I love hearing stories like that.
I am sure it was a delightful dinner together. Much to celebrate.

Your wrapping is beautiful. My sister always does a wonderful job of wrapping gifts too. I love the new designs you are creating. I have been busy with my sewing o brides maid dresses but try to sneek a little hand work in when I can.
