Imagination

Isn't one's imagination a funny little thing? I find it quite fascinating all the wonderful things that come from imagining something.

I tend to have an overactive imagination. Maybe because for me, it's just so fun to pretend. Maybe because I love stories and magic and happily ever after things and stuff that makes you laugh and smile really big. Maybe because kindergarten will always be my most favorite grade.

Here's a little peeky of another Folk-Art Fusion piece that hopped out of my imagination. Crows wear crowns in my world and yes, the pattern will be in my book, Briarside Lane.

Then there's this little stitchery. Pattern will be available in June. Don't ya just love the Valdani floss colors?

This is another stitchery design. I sit with a pencil and eraser and just draw out the story in my head. Most of the time I sit and look out the window when I draw. The things I see outside help me to tell the story. Then I play with colored pencils til the story looks like what I imagined.

"Imagination is more important than knowledge" - Albert Einstein (I like this fella.)

So...what will you imagine this week?

xx,
Michelle and the Bunnies

I don't have your kind of imagination, the from scratch kind. I need a jumping off point. I can change size, color and the order of things but basically I need input from creative people like you. So Thanks for being there for those of us like me.

Hi Shell, It is always fun to come and see what you have been doing. Your drawings always tell a story, but I can imagine stories, I just can't draw. I enjoyed seeing your bunny in a previous post. I have two in my yard and Mr. Squirrel who runs frequently across my roof. Have a great week and stay out of harms way. Hugs from Your Missouri Friend.

I wish your imagination was contagious, Shell...I'm sitting here with my mouth wide open, shaking my head back and forth, because I'm absolutely in awe of you. I'm thinking King Crow needs to be a book of the story kind, as well as in your Briarside Lane!

Wasn't it Fonzie who said Imagination is the termites of relationships? Well, something like that?

I spilled all the paints in kindergarten and got shamed in front of the whole class and haven't been right since. If I was I'ld have a dog.

YOU TOO LOVE EINSTEIN???? He is my favorite scientist and imagination expert!!

Oh how I love a bird with a crown and I think why I just adore you and your blog is because I recognized immediately that you love to PLAY. Anyone who loves bunnies and sees more in them is a friend of mine. Anita

Imagination keeps us from going crazy. I have always had a very active one. When I was a kid I would make myself a character in the book I was reading or the movie I was watching. I still do it to this day. We moved around so much when I was a kid It was a given that I had imaginary friends!

I love your ideas!

I like that fella too - imagination is the key to so many things.
But I have to tell you Shell, I do not like crows. At all. I've tried, but I just can't do it. They caw and crow and sound like banshees all day long and never stop. When I was in France I heard song birds for the first time in my life and I couldn't believe how beautiful they sounded; my whole life, I've only heard seagulls or crows or ravens... caw, caw, caw, bleh!
