Work'in on it Wednesday

I'm so excited! Next week I am honored once again to be a guest blogger on Sew We Quilt!

This month the theme is things for the kitchen. I've designed a fun little wool applique project to share with you!
Here's a sneaky peeky!

And another peeky!

Here's the Valdani 3 strand floss I'm using.

I've also put together a new BFF (bundle of fun felt) for this project. It's in the SHOP now.

Sorry for being behind on visiting you in blog land. My dear friend, Captain, came home for a visit. We spent nine whole days of fun together. I won't get to see her again until next March, so I wanted to enjoy every single minute. Her real name is Michelle, but I call her Captain as she is a Captain in the Navy. She will retire next March and move back home across the street from me. I'm so very proud of her and miss her already.

So what are you working on?

xx, Michelle

I love the peek, and the photo of you with Captain is beautiful. You can see the mutual affection that you two friends share. A person looking in from the outside can't help but smile. I hope the time flies by as you wait for your friend to come back home.
Happy Wednesday, Shell.

Love the Sneaky Peeky!
You look like you had fun - so happy and cheery - the both of you. And I love your hair!!!
I just finished a book for a friend and next is baby quilts for another friend - it's always something, isn't it?

You never DID tell us what Captain got you for your birthday--enquiring minds want to know. :)

I'm trying to finish off the throw for my friends, but the weather's been too hot to have a very warm throw over you. It's started to cool off again, so hopefully I can get it done.

I was reading your first few lines about the kitchen theme & saw part of the picture below & thought the yellow & white circles were fried eggs. Then I scrolled down saw it properly & had a laugh at myself! You & Captain are radiant - gorgeous photo. Tracee xx

I was just thinking last night that I have some awesome colored wool felt that I won from a magazine that I want to put to good use. Maybe the time is now! I'm not working on anything right now except customer quilts. I'm having a see in next weekend and will be working on making some embroidered pillows with a new fabric line that is coming out in July. I'm excited for them and hope they turn out super cute!

How nice to have your friend visit and soon to be home. :)) What a lovely image of the two of you.

We, too, live the life of the sea so come and go for weeks/months at a time. It is always good to get home to family and friends.

I can't wait to see more, it looks wonderful, so far.
I was thinking of you, yesterday, when I was in a thrift and they had a lot of rabbit collectibles on the shelf, lol.
