Work'in on it Wednesday - Another Folk-Art Fusion

Well hellooooooooooooo there! How's your week going? Mine is busy and oh so fun! (insert happy bunny dance here)

I completed another one of my Folk-Art Fusion pieces.
Yes, yes, I love bunnies most, but I also love all critters and  even bugs. This piece was inspired by my friend, Lydia, who loves dragonflies. It will be in my Briarside Lane book (out in May, bunny ears crossed) and it's called, "Dragonflies and Dahlia's.

You see down Briarside Lane, dragonflies dance in the dahlia's. Hee,hee, hee.

I also got lots of fun new Valdani 3 Strand Overdyed Floss in our Shop! Check out these colors!
Terracotta Twist !

Darkened Blue!

Raspberry Fizz!
Ripened Plum!

Hop over and take a peek. We've added a bunch of colors.

So what are you working on this week?

xx, Michelle
p.s.  sending light and love to all the people who have suffered through all the tornado's. I can't watch the news without being brought to tears. My heart aches for all of you.

I'm working on more pencil cases from reclaimed fabric. One more to make then I'll need to think what to do with another stash of reclaimed fabric....

Hi Michelle,
I just found your blog, and I think I am really going to enjoy it. I'm your newest follower.
I was interested in the picture of the Valdani threads. I noted it says colorfast, and was happy to see that. I have some hand dyed floss and I do remember the tag saying they are not colorfast. I was thinking I can't use this kind of thread in anything but samplers, etc, that probably won't be washed. I'm happy to make this little discovery thanks to you! it's so nice to meet you.

Love your new fusion piece Shell, so inventive, the dragonfly wings look like flower petals! Can't wait for May, I desperately need your new book! And is it fate that Michelle May's new book is coming out in May?! The Valdani colours are wonderful, I especially love the 'Teracotta Twist' and the 'Raspberry Fizz', nummy! I've got a couple of orders to finish up this week and then I HAVE TO get stitching on my Harrington and Hannah BOM, yikes it's almost March 15th and time for the next block! Echoing your thoughts and prayers for those affected by the tornadoes, such a terrible tragedy :O(
