Folky Flowers and a New Floss Color

Did everybun have a good weekend? I sure did, but boy did it ever fly by! Of course, that's what happens when you're having fun right?

I spent lots of time catching up on emails and blog reading and then I also worked on my new quilt pattern. Here's the next little sneaky peeky for you. There will be 36 of these fun little applique folky flowers.

I say folky because I like the fusible applique method and I wanted these flowers to have a more primitive look to them. So instead of matching threads to the fabrics, I just zig zagged around the edges in a variegted cream thread. I'm really happy with how they turned out.

They will be part of this pattern that I showed you the other week.

Look what else I got! A new floss color from Valdani Threads! It's called Raspberry! You know I had to carry it in my SHOP. After all The Raspberry Rabbits should have some Raspberry floss! Just say'in. ;)

I also have some very exciting news coming soon. I can hardly stand it and I'm about to burst, but I have to wait a little bit longer. Dag!

Have a fun and magical week everybun!

Well of course you have to have Raspberry colour. I am very curous about this bunny/flower quilt. I love to use variegated threads on my machine and for sticheries. I really need to hop over to your shop and look closer to these Valdani lovelies.

I guess you better call a meeting for the announcement. I've missed the company and big warm cinnamon rolls.

Hi Shell, We had a great weekend. I went to my first soccer game. Our grandson was playing and they won. We celebrated our oldest son's birthday yesterday even though it was actually today. We got to 91 degrees and the temperature dropped quickly to 47 degrees. We didn't get the storms for which we are thankful. I like the raspberry color. I am waiting to see your quilt.
