Cute Cottage Tuesday

Welcome to our second Cute Cottage Tuesday! This week I wanted to share three little houses that I have always loved. I went to visit a friend of mine a few hours from me and these were on the way to her house. I stopped this time to take pictures of them.

They remind me of fairytale cottages with their pointy gables. I have always loved pointy gables and find them incredibly charming. I loved that little window on the porch near the rockers and the other arched window in the gable. And hello there cute front door!
I also go crazy over an arched doorway! I find them so welcoming.

I don't know about you, but I think about cookies everytime I see this house and cute little old lady wearing an apron. Must be the wreath on the door and the little flag out front in the yard or maybe I just want a cookie. hee, hee, hee.

Then, in another little town along the way, there was a for sale sign in this yard. I turned the bunny mobile around and went back to check it out. The house was vacant, so I got out and peeked in the windows! The entire inside had hardwood floors. It needs a little scrub a dub dub, and a little landscaping, but what an adorable place this could be. It's 1324 square feet. Three bedrooms and one bath. They asking price was only $79,000.00.

Thanks for joining us today.

Hi Shell:
I can see why you find them adorable. They really have a quaint feel about them. And, is that a carport off the right side of the last little house? Interesting. I think it would be a lovely little home for some lucky person or couple.
Thanks for sharing, girlfriend.
Snuggles to Sugie!

Brick can be so sturdily warm.....that last one sure is cute and reasonable. We still have outrageously inflated housing out here. Are you familiar with the tiny house movement? Here's a blog on that http://tinyhouseblog.com/

Cute houses! But I don't know how cute the window on the front porch by the rockers is, we have one on our house and its for the downstairs bathroom, awkward!

They are cute - and I love the gables too! I want a house with character and am most drawn to windows and doors too. I especially like houses that have corner windows and I am lucky in that here - we have four! And if the front doorway is angled - I am in love...

Hi Shell, Your third picture down reminds me of a house that my grandmother lived in. Hers set next to the high school football field which we would play on when we went to visit. It brought back some lovelies memories. I do like your new hair cut. I don't think that I left you a comment on that one. You have a great day. My break is over so it is back to posting more invoices and playing catch up. Have a great day. Your Missouri Friend.

Ok I am "sold" on the last one--just my size---I would be near you--right?????--I think I would just dig up the yard and plan wildflowers in it--then no yard to move--and I would love hardwood floors--they are best for me with my sensitivities!!!! so you buy it and I will rent it!!!!!
Love the photos!!

We gonna start a bunny rescue in that last house - somebody write a grant proposal, somebody else form a non-profit, somebody go visit the farm-supply stores for donations,... Shell - organize a big wine, cheese, fruit and music extravaganza for raising money!

(I'll lay low here in the far NW and think up some more assignmants!)

Hey Shell - how much fun to see some homes from o'er the ocean...what a great post....
these 'cottages' look a bit like a "rich" version of my first house in Adelaide, South Australia - which was a "povo" version of these classier ones. LOL!
They have a few things in common that I admire. Red bricks. White colonial windows. Gable roofs.
Timeless and lovely!
