A little Survey. Your vote counts. Curious minds need to know.

Hello there! If you are here for Where Bloggers Create, Click here. :)

Hi my friends! I was wondering if ya'll could help me with something? I love blogging and I truly love all the wonderful people I get to meet through this wonderful place called blog land. I get so excited when I get another follower.

As you know I was laid off from my job in April. Needless to say I'm trying to figure out a few things. Basically, ummmm....what I want to be when I grow up! hee, hee, hee.

I was wondering if you could answer this question for me.
"Why do you follow my blog?"

1. Are you a fan of the bunnies and their cuteness and tales are why you are here?

2. Are you a crafty person that likes to create stitcheries, quilts and like the monthly giveaways?

3. Do you love decorating and my all white house and want to see more?

4. Do you like my goofy little tales? She made me buy a dress.

5. All of the above.

6. Did you click my blog by mistake and will be leaving now?

Thank you for taking the time to answer this for me. Just put the number that corresponds in your comment. It will help me with some decisions I really need to make. And, since I believe in thanking people for there time, I will randomly pick someone from the comments and award a prize. I don't know what the prize is yet, but it will be good. I'll pick the winner on Wed.

Thanks so much!
Hugs!
Michelle

I love your blog for all the reasons. And you've become my friend, too! :o) I do like to see what you create and wonder where you get the fabulous Valdani thread. Would like to see more of what you create--I'm now back in the category of one who fights with her sewing machine since attempting to sew a shirt for one of my bears. Your photography is great, too. And the bunnies? Oh so sweet!

Michelle, I admit that originally I linked up because of the "Where Bloggers Create" party, but now that I am here, I would have to say it was all of the above. I felt a pull towards the kind and friendly words you posted on my own blog. I like to look at all your beautiful pictures..bunnies and the house. And I like the way you write and tell a story. Hope this helps. I must tell you , that you are not alone in the "what to be when I grow up club." I don't know if you read my "Job Hunting" post, but I can totally relate.

I love the bunny stuff since I have one too, and I totally love the embroidery designs, they are so lovely. I hope to do them all

No. 5, of course!!! I don't quilt, however, but do like to be crafty at times. Hope you find what you are looking for and will be happy with whatever you choose to do.

I will be honest. I first came here, because of the free patterns. BUT that is only what initially brought me here.....YOU are why I come back! The answer is #5 now. I love the bunnies and the pictures of them. I love your funny little stories of your life. I love knowing someone that can live in a white house and knows how to decorate--because that is so different than my house and my "no decorate" living. I love the creative generous person who has this blog and shares her talent with me. I hope you find out what you want to do--because whatever it is, you will be "awesome" at it. I'm not commenting here to win a prize. I'm commenting, because you are my friend. :) Hugs

I'd have to say #5 but also I love your great personality .

I am also without a job for over a year. I always look forward each day to see what you will write about. I LOVE THAT DRESS !!! lol

Chris said...

Initially, the bunnies piqued my curiousity. But yes, I like all of the above. Vintage collectibles, crafts, you name it. Blogging and reading blogs can be a pleasant diversion, a place to dialog about life's many mysteries or educational. All of these have merit. Keep up the great work!

QUILTING IS BLISSFUL, DI said...

I can't believe you would ask us such an easy question---don't even have to think about this answer---#5--all of the reasons are reasons I come back and back and back--it makes my day when I see on my blog list that you have done a post--no matter how short---(course I am still waiting for that Iced tea??? from one of them!!!!!)
I even love the pictures of your home--even if I am a "colorful" kind of person with mine!!!!
Yours always looks so refreshing and clean and neat--and I want one just like it!!! I love your humor--as you can see--I use lots of words--you just use a few and get us laughing and smiling!!!!
OH--and at 62 I am still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up--so hang in there and keep on keeping on--girl!!!!

Really if you must have a number it is number 5, I love reading your blog, seeing what you are creating, and making your friendship which has meant a great deal to me. I read blogs when I need a diversion from what is going on in my life and get a chuckle out of some of the post. Have a great week. Your Missouri Friend.

I come to your blog because I love the freshness, your sewing room, your creativity. You inspire me, no only in my quilting world but in my home as well. Your stitchery is wonderful and one day, yes one day, I am going to do some.

Even tho I have never met you, I consider you a friend.

I come here to see the bunnies. The rest is bonus.

Darlene said...

LOL!!! exactly why everyone should visit your blog - it's full of fun, joy and creativity at the same time - those gorgeous bunnies don't hurt either, with their quirky tales.

I'm going #5 all of the above.

ps: you so need to get your patterns into the retail patchwork shops girlie!!! They're delightful!! I vote that as being your next big career move!!

take care sweetie ((hugs))

Debbi said...

#5 for me, too!

Just Ramblin' said...

Of course my response is #5. I love your blog and reading about your challenges, ups and downs, successes and the funny things that happen and seeing your creativity. The free patterns are probably what first brought me to your blog, but that's not what kept me coming back time and again. It was your sense of humor, your positivity (is that a word), the feeling that we were friends and observing your wonderful style of decorating and of course those precious little bunnies.
Keep hanging in there! Nola

Definitely all of the above! The bunnies are gorgeous. I love to stitch and it is nice to see that someone is neat and organized. Not that I think I could ever be that organized. Never ever. Wish I could fit into that black dress. L,A-

I'm here for #5 and all of the above. Visiting your blog gives me inspiration and helps get the creative juices flowing. The bunnies always give me a smile and I dream of having all white in my home...a nine year prohibits that in my reality so I live through your stories and pictures :0)

Definitely #5, I love your rabbits and your house and everything but am a big lurker, almost never comment. I hope your new path reveals itself soon, just remember that there are a lot of people who completely understand what you are going through.

#5 - I love the stitcheries and crafty things, but I have also fallen for the stories, decorating and the bunnies!

Anonymous said...

Most of the time it's a combination of items that makes me love a blog, so reason 5.
I didn't click on your blog by 'mistake', but came via another blog, where you were in the 'list'. That was a couple of weeks ago (I think), and I've put you in my Google Reader so I can follow your adventures ;-)
btw: I'm so sorry you lost your job.

Filomena said...

It's alllll about the rabbits! Wait, no, it's about the crafty stuff...wait, it could be 'cause you're so sweet...

:) Keep it up!

Diane H said...

No. 5 of course because it's all you, Shell. Your generosity of spirit to your readers by sharing your talent, your sense of humour, your kindness and of course your love of bunnies. Visiting your blog is like popping by to see a good friend and knowing your always going to have a laugh and come away feeling good because she's 'that' kind of person.

d. moll, l.ac. said...

Well, of course it is the draw of the buns and magnetic personalities that you so skillfully portray. Really it's mostly Sugie's ears, but that puts a lot of pressure on her. Of course it's fun to see what you are up to as well....I'm personally not a a stitchy person, but am perfectly willing to allow that sort of thing to be in a blog, and the white, well you know about me and white. Hugs to all!

Debbie B said...

Probably #2 - i love to sew & embroider, but partly for the escape and glimpses of other folks lives who love to create too. And then there are those cute bunnies!

Darlene said...

#5. I came to your blog in the first place because of the free patterns, but stayed because I enjoy reading your story. Best of luck in discovering the next chapter in your book of life...

Vicky Garner said...

I am a die hard lurker but put me down for 1 & 4. I love your stitchery but work/quilting consumes all my free time. Keep it up!

Lisa said...

#5. I found you via bunnies, but while I'm not really crafty anymore, seeing your beautiful work makes me nostalgic for when I used to do some stitchery as a kid with my Nana and my Mom.

And I'm so SO jealous of your pristine house. I envy your organization, since I'm the messiest person in the world and a little bit of a packrat. you inspire me to clean my apartment more, I see your clean house and realize you're probably disgusted every time I post pictures!!!

And you're so happy go lucky, it's sort of contagious. You exude love and it just brightens up the day, as does your all white house.

I may be laid off soon too :-/

Well, all of the above, and more.

I follow and comment on some blogs... lurk others and don't comment... simply because they inspire me by the crafts/artistry, the artwork, their photography, the food/recipes, decor/how-to, the city/country they live in, etc... a variety of things.

I hope you find that new "niche" you're looking for.

...Karen

I don't recall how I came to your doorstep - but the bunnies kept me. Then your stories. And then the crafty stuff started nudging my imagination.

I found your blog because of the bunnies, but I LOVE decorating and your home. And I'm a knitter, which is different, but close. I love your stories and your pictures and reading everything you have to say!! I love the way that you write and the things you choose to share. Thanks so much for all of it!

Ann said...

I visit for all the reasons, specifically, 1,3,4,then 2. I adore your bunnies. You could put up pictures everyday, and I would visit just for that. But I also enjoy your decorating sense. If I thought you wouldn't notice, I'd move into your studio and enjoy the sense of bliss there. I'm sure the guard bunnies would object. Can they be bribed? ;)

Jade said...

All of the above, of course:

1. The buns are adorable
2. Your stitchery is gorgeous
3. I love to see how other people decorate
4. You tell great stories.

With all of that, why wouldn't anyone come visit? :D

I came across your blog when trying to find valdani floss and stitchery, so for my part it is #2, but I am now hooked on your blog and really love the pictures of your home and your work areas, I would love to have something like this. Keep on writing, if not I will sure miss your daily input.

LOVE the goofy tales!!!! That is why you are one of the *very few* blogs that I pull up nearly daily. (We have dial-up out in cow country... my blog visiting is limited unless I go drink coffee somewhere with WiFi...) Also love the cute bunnies. Especially when they are hilarious! (Does that go back to goofy tales?) (Tails?) Love your sense of humor. Found you by mistake... Come back nearly daily by design! Oh! I do love to visit your stitcheries and decorating. I enjoy the simplicity and serenity of it. My own decorating style is ecclectic and goofy, but I do enjoy visiting yours :o)
