Fabulous Finds

I do love to go to thrift shops. I can spend hours in there just looking at all the eye candy. A couple of weeks ago I found this fabulous prize!

Hello!!!!Can you believe it! It's my muted blue/green color and can we say "PERFECT" for my house! It was only $6!!!!! Happy dance, happy dance!

Then I came across 4 of these really cool plastic, scrolly, fruit, flowery, things that were the most hideous shade of gold. I got all 4 for $12!! I brought them home and David said, "what are you gonna do with those putrid things?" I said, "you're going to spray paint them white, glue them onto these frames and put this piece of pretty paper behind them." Then I did my best "cute face, bat the eyelashes, cause you love me look." I wanted them to go up the wall at the steps to Bunnyville. David agreed with some grumbling about "always something to paint." I think they turned out really pretty! What do you think?

Shell my dear you must learn to spray paint yourself! I just spray painted a patio set from green to white! All the instruction I had from Hef's dad was "Shake the can then spray it on"

Why Shell, you know your hubby's heart melts when you give him that look!!! Good for you, I make Ted spray everything in the garage....I tell him that he is soooo much better at it then me.....he he...I don't think he is fooled!
I love the way they turned out! Of course I love the fleur de lis!! I just gave a pale blue one to my daughter and I have a cream one in my bathroom...so french!

I love your finds! I miss the roaming in the shops - Arizona just doesn't have shops like you do out east. And I think they turned out great!!!

Well---I do think that the "two" of you do great work together!!!! You do your share with the digging and finding and hubby does his share with the spray paint can---way to go!!
Hugs, Di
PS I could use some help with spray painting--I can't do it because of the "smell" but have acouple things I would like done---do you drink tea, or coffee?????

Love the fleur-de-lis!

And the "really cool plastic, scrolly, fruit, flowery things? Great idea! What kind of spray paint? And do you spray with a primer first or is in the the paint?
And can we see where you displayed them?

Inquiring minds would like to know... Karen

I love your fruity things. They look just like a picture the way that you did them. Hubby's do like painting them even though they act like the don't. I enjoyed reading your post to play catch up. Have a wonderful day. Your Missouri Friend.
