Kitchen Organization...the OCD continues

Ok... so you saw my beautiful closet and home office from last week and so many of you commented and made me laugh really hard! Then others of you suggested I become a professional home organizer. In truth, I think it would be a fantastic job as I really love to help people organize, clean, and make their spaces look new again. It's very rewarding! To think I could get paid for that!!! Get out!!

So this week we move on to my kitchen. Most people freak out when they see my kitchen because all my upper cabinets are glass. Even my cabinet maker said, "uhhh shuuug...do you really want that???"
Folks say they could never keep them clean. I feel that dishes stacked and arranged nicely look like beautiful art and I really do enjoy looking at them. The simplicity of of everyday objects.
Plus, when I have friends and guests over, it's easy for them to find the wine glasses! hee, hee, hee.
As you can see I don't have much on my countertops either. That's because kitchen stuff always seems to get schmeg and shmutz all over it, so I keep the items to a minimum. Wine and coffee are a must however. Isn't my wine bottle light cute! My friend, Eric, made it for me for Christmas.
My kitchen is light, bright and cheery, but at the same time calm, clean and serene. (sound familiar???)
We decided it was time to for new shelf paper too. Helloooooooo white paper.. have I told you I love you???? (there's the OCD part again)
Heck in my kitchen...even the gladware is glad there is new paper!
Now you know I've totally lost my mind. But there are worse things out there. At least no one gets hurt in the organization process and David is just as loony. hee, hee, hee.
Your friend,
shell

Oh Shell, I love your glass cabinets, that is what I have been dreaming of having. I feel, you lovingly collect your beautiful dishes, so let them show. I for one love my dishes. I started collecting them since High school. Of course we won't talk about how long ago that was. ha ha.

Awwwww crap, Shell! I thought I'd cleaned up my act. I'm a rank amateur! What the heck am I going to do? How will I ever purge the "excess"? Buggers, Bunny Girl! I'm going to have to sit on my hands until our company leaves on Friday, and then start all over! I might even have to paint again! Rats! Oh, yeah...Thank you ever so much for the inspiration. lol

That looks so nice, and so you! But I am glad to see that you have your coffee and wine priorities sorted out so well!

Shell,
You are too much! Your kitchen looks so clean. Matches your style! You get so much done I don't know how you do it.

*Sigh* I just want your kitchen...heck I just want your organised, clean, beautiful house. I used to be so organised and then something went radically wrong, I need to reclaim my inner OCD.

Oh Shell, I love your kitchen. I really like the glass doors because it shows off your dishes so well. I like your wine bottle lamp. I have lamps made from whiskey bottles. My husband made them a long time ago. They are in the boy's brdroom. They really turned out rather well back then.
Take Care.

I want your kitchen! Mine is so small I have to have things on counters. I so wish I had glass cabinet doors. Or better yet, just simple shelves!

Shell, I wasn't going to say anything, but I really must, I think it is SOOOO unfair or you to post pictures from interior design magazines and claim it is your own home.....Hee, hee, hee,
Bunnies hugs from us and thanks for the inspirations !

Right. That's it. I'm coming over. I want to learn to be you and have your life and house.

I could have cried this morning when I saw the mess Mike had made just in making a bit of toast.

And if you could see my office at the moment, I think you might understand why I am craving some simplicity. It's horrible, cannot move for boxes and chaos.

I WILL master this. I want your life!!

Love Charlotte
