Calm, Clean and Serene and Is it wrong to love a Closet???

Ok... so if you have been following my blog for a while, you know that I'm a little OCD when it comes to organization. You know I love clean and white. I can't help it. It just makes me soooooooooo incredibly happy to see everything arranged in a such a beautiful order. No hunting, no digging, no "where the heck did I put that?" going on. Nope.... just pure bliss....oh hellooooo there beautiful!!! Yes indeed I love you my organized closet. Is that wrong???

My inventory of floss, needles, paper etc. lives here with my fabulous wrapping paper David got for me on clearance from Target.

You see I work from home now. The Raspberry Rabbits is my full time job and I have to say I really love it and love being my own boss. I have spent most of my life organizing others, running companies and people and now it's my turn to follow my bliss. The chaos and stress of the past 25 years is moving on. My friend Donna of Brynwood Needleworks, said it perfectly, a staff of Me, Myself and I. Responsibility is for me alone.

David and I have been renovating our house since last March and my office was no exception. It went from a guest bedroom to full blown office. I keep my inventory here instead of up in Bunnyville. Let's just say that dust bunny hairballs are not good for business. hee, hee, hee.
These are my most favorite design and decorating books. I find inspiration in all of them. In each cabinet on the side is kits I have for sale and packaging products. I'm working on two new stitchery designs to frame and hang above.

This is my wrapping station. My back hurt from sitting on the floor wrapping orders. We created this space so I can stand and wrap with everything in place. I have the perfect picture to hang above the wrapping station. Hint, hint, Patricia. (inside joke)

Here's the view from the wrapping station to the beautiful closet. Have I told you how much I love that closet??? hee, hee, hee.

This is my desk and computer area. I'm saving for a new computer and wireless stuff so I can get rid of all the icky wires, tower and crapola that sits to the right of my computer. I just got new carpet in here, so I want all this stuff off the floor. Boy what a nasty mess it made to the last carpet! See the screen saver on my computer??? It's from Potentially Crazy! I totally love having bunnies in my face! Go get one! It's only $9.99 for 125 of the most fabulous bunny pictures ever!!!

This last picture shows my new curtains I made over the weekend. I'm totally gaga over linen. These are a soft sheer linen. I love the drape of them. Just enough softness for the room.
I have to say, this is a perfect spot for packing orders, working on the computer and allowing the light to fill my days.

Calm, Clean and Serene. So is it wrong to love a closet so much???? hee, hee, hee.

your friend,
shell

I love your closet too. Mine is not that big, but I think with shelving and organizers, I can at least find things again;)

Oh, My Goodness! Everything is so clean and beautiful! You'd have a heart attack if you saw my place right now. "I'd fire the hired hands, but there ain't none." They obviously haven't been pulling their weight! lol

I think I need to get you down here to clean up my act, girlfriend! Enjoy your space...it's wonderful.

Love your closet. I'm OCD about organization, too. I cannot stand to dig for stuff. And everything needs to be in the same place all the time so I can just reach in & grab it.

awww shell once again thank you so much for always cramming my bunnies down peoples eyeballs! you are too much! it looks great there and no it's not crazy loving a closet, you have go a lot further than a little OCD to be crazy in my book anyway. after fatty died i kept cleaning and rearranging my 300 sq ft. finally i tore the whole place apart, so that there wasn't a visible surface just prcearious slopes of stuff everywhere piled high on what was left of the bed or floor.

it's amazing this cabin still stands to be honest. if it weren't for bells and nuage i may have torn the whole things down after trying to untangle my gordian knots of cords then i took down the bunny equivalent of berlin wall, and now there is a sense of something in here that makes the word satisfying seem trite and not quite descriptive enough. who knows why we do what we do, but thank god we have it to do when we need to do something. your prints are being ordered today!

I really admire you but the thought of all that tidyness makes me nervous!

I love the desk, especially. So pretty.

Thanks for the tour of your beautiful workspace. It makes me pine for my former life when I too had order, cleanliness and calm - but - it also gives me something to aspire to create from all the mess I have inherited here!

That is my idea of HEAVEN...love it xx

Wow! My work space doesn't look that good even after I've tidied up and ends up looking progressively more like I just stood it the middle and though the contents up in the air the more work I'm doing lol.

It's gorgeous - but far too clean for me :) If you could only see what I'm looking at, as I look around my desk and ... ahem... sewing room. Yea, there's a room here somewhere! And I just got done 'super cleaning' mine last week!!! lol....

My hat is off to you my friend :)

It is SO not wrong to love a closet, especially one that is that beautiful.

I'm kind of a slob, and a few weeks ago I did a massive (long overdue) spring cleaning overhaul, (I'm not exaggerating when I say the bunny room/bedroom was DISGUSTING, like I was sleeping in a massive litter box), and for a week afterwards every time I came home to my apartment I cried tears of joy for the beautiful, wonderful cleanliness. Now, of course, I'm a mess again.

Can you help rescue me from my own filthy habits and anti-cleaning laziness? HELP!!!

I'm in awe! Now that's organization if I've ever seen it. Whenever I finally get around to organizing or cleaning a closet, I'm like that, OCD, have to go look at it every little bit. I guess to admire my work or to make sure the disaster fairy didn't return!
