Blog Post 109 and the Giveaway

Helloooooooooooooo and welcome to my 109th Blog Post! I know, I know, most people do a giveaway at their 100th, but 9 is my lucky number (as I found out last year at the art festival from a woman that has magic powers, knows these things and know's how to figure it out). Plus the fact that I love odd numbers. Well it made perfect sense to me and so I'm having a giveaway for my 109th. It's my blog and I can make my dorky rules. Just go with it. hee, hee, hee.

No, Princess Chloe Pudd'in Pie is not the Prize. I know you want her. She is sooooo darn cute, but she's mine.

First I need this. Can I just say that April has been the month from Hell!! I promised myself that as of 5:00 today when all the chaos was over that I would have a nice glass of wine and just take a darn break! Ever have one of those months when everyone and everything is pulling at you? I swear I think every activity for all of 2009 decided to show up in April! I'm down right giddy that it's all over. Well.... maybe the wine is making me giddy. But giddy I am!

Ok.. back to the giveaway. Pretty simple. Leave a comment, but it must be something dorky or silly because I want to laugh. Laughing is one of my most favorite things to do. I want to LOL! I'm stressed, I'm tired and I need some FUN! So, leave me a dorky, dumb, silly, or goofy comment and I'll enter you in the giveaway. I'll have my coworkers pick the winner next Sunday.

Here's your prize. A quilted Doodle Book featuring my signature bunnies. Blank pages inside to keep all your doodles, weird thoughts, dorky comments, or things you would like to say out loud to stupid people but you would get in trouble so you write them down instead. Did I type that out loud? hee, hee, hee, it's the wine.

Oh, one more thing. Sue, I can't wait to see you on Tuesday for you to fix my hair. Note to self. There is a reason the hair color at Walmart is only $9.00. The color on the box is NOT what you will look like. Some things are better left to the professionals. Quality hair coloring is gonna have to make through our new recession budget. Geez...

Have a great week everyone.
blissfully,
shell

this week IGF never giving up and always knowing I can count on myself

Shell,
You always give me a giggle (maybe on this end it's the Michelob Ultra's). Just kidding, you are quite clever and funny in your posts. I sent your blog addy to my sister because she is a huge bunny lover too. I hope May goes more smoothly for you.
Joke from my son:

Happy Sunday.

Oh my gosh, the pressure! Funny on demand is tough! Okay, here's a Brigetism-
She is on the track team (of 6 year olds). She got up and ran the qualifying race, actually she sort of looked like she was jogging. So when she was done, she hadn't qualified and her Mom told her, Bridge, you can run so much faster than that, are you okay? Bridgie comes back with, Well, Mom, if I won the race they were going to make me run another one!
Can you feel how much she's loving this sport??
Congratulations on your 109th post.

Hi Shell, Congratulations on the big 109!!! OK,,, I wasnt laughing, but everyone else was! I was in a restuarant, (mimis cafe) so a fairly nice place. I could not get the catusp out after trying and trying. So I held the bottle up to my face, (you can see where this is going?) I thought maybe it was a new bottle and still had the seal over the top. As I was ever so carefully looking I accidently gave it a squeeze, and it sprayed all over myface. AND everyone was watching. Then my friend I was with and I went to a decor fabric store. It was empty in there and really quiet. We were just kind of looking around and went to leave and the door was locked!!! They closed and didnt know we were in there. Thank God the manager was still hiding back in the office. That was scary,,,AND speaking of scary. We had a huge grasshopper attack this week at my works parking lot. A sea of them. I pulled into work and called the guy I work with to tell him I was there, but I wouldnt be coming in! I finally got them to move the fork lift so I could park in the warehouse. So, that was my week, did ya laugh. LOL I love the bunny journal!!! :) hugs, gail

HI Shell,
I am such a dork that I can not think of anything funny. Well there is the one about the lady who got the vaseline mixed up with the putty. All her windows fell out.

Or what did the scarf say to the hat? You go on ahead. I'll hang around.
Now I just realized that in order to have a chance of winning the lovely doodle book, I have sign my name to this dorky post.
oh well...

I really want Princess Chloe. She's gorgeous!

Love the "doodle book" and I'm please that, with all those bunnies around, it's not a "doo doo book".
LOL

My DH was teaching in a small college and we had become very close to several of his students. One day we were having lunch with a couple of them and the boys were having fun at my expense. I casually asked one if he had ever played Jump Up. He said "no" and I, again casually, tipped my water glass in his direction. He played Jump Up really well. LOL

Hi Shelly,
Edward, Emma and I were walking into the ELC last week right after a rain.....with our tennis shoes soaked. I looked down at my boy and said "Edward, why are you walking like that?" Edward looked up and replied "Mommy, I'm saving my squeeks!"
Shelly thank you for sharing. I wish I was half as organized as you so I could share with you more.
Love,
Goldie

Okay here goes,
I was spending time with my neice and nephews. I was reading a book to them when I realized it was time for lunch.
"Who's hungry," I said.
"Me am," said my 3 year old nephew."
In an effort to correct his grammar, I said, "No, I am."
With great gusto he looked at me and replied "Me am too!"
I could write the "Chronicles of a Dorkwad Aunt" (more than one volume, lol).
Great giveaway,
Theresa @ Cottage Violets

Calling the Last Rites
A man is struck by a bus on a busy street in New York City. He lies dying on the sidewalk as a crowd of spectators gathers around. "A priest! Somebody get me a priest!" the man gasps. A policeman checks the crowd but finds no priest, no minister, no man of God of any kind.

"A PRIEST, PLEASE!" the dying man says again. Then out of the crowd steps a little old Jewish man of at least eighty years of age."Mr. Policeman," says the man, "I'm not a priest. I'm not even a Catholic. But for fifty years now I'm living behind St. Mary's Catholic Church on Third Avenue, and every night I'm listening to the Catholic litany. Maybe I can be of some comfort to this man."

The policeman agrees and brings the octogenarian over to the dying man. He kneels down, leans over the injured and says in a solemn voice: "B - 4. I - 19. N - 38. G - 54. O - 72."

Congrats on 109. I haven't even had my first one yet.lol Kath'
