No Bull, Make Mine Pink Rocks!

I can't believe it's been a week since I went to the Make Mine Pink "getting down to business" retreat in Williamsburg, VA! What a fabulous time I had. So much laughter, so much sisterhood and so many desserts! Here are just a few pictures. I bet you can't tell who it is in the bunny ears. hee, hee, hee. Of course, I found the cutest bulls when I walked to a coffee cafe one morning. I just had to take their pictures. I thought it would be fun to have one as a pet, but then I saw how big their poo was and decided to stick with bunnies. Coco puff balls are much easier than a giant bull plop!
Be sure and check out all the fabulous boutiques at Make Mine Pink. Save gas, shop at home.
By the way, I'll be posting a little more often now. Focusing on some new artwork I've been making. Glad it's been selling too!

Shell

Caught in the Web

Today started at 5:30 am. I ate, had coffee, got dressed and went to my pet sitting job. Then I came home fed my bunnies, did two loads of laundry, changed the sheets on the bed, went to Lowes, Target, Harris Teeter and Walgreens. Ate a quick lunch, did more laundry, answered 4 phone calls that took up 2 hours time, answered 6 emails, visited with friend that came by, did invoices, sewed briefly, went back to pet sit, visit with another friend and dropped off sewing orders, made dinner, fed bunnies, back to pet sit because owner's flight was delayed, folded laundry, got big glass of wine, cleaned up office and here I am. I still have to iron clothes for work, take shower, clean bunny poo poo bucket and give the bunnies a carrot. It will be 11:00 pm before I'm done.
I'm tired. I'm exhausted. I want to sleep. In fact today I told David that if I won the lottery the first thing I would do is sleep. Yep sleep. No stinkin alarm clock, no stinkin schedule, no work. Just sleep. Ahhh, yes, sleep. I remember when I was about 20 that sometimes I would sleep a whole Saturday away just because I could. I know many of you can relate to how that feels and wish you could do the same thing. It's fun to think about it and pretend life is like that again. I can't even remember the last time I took a nap. It's been years now. I have several friends that take naps and I envy them that they are able to enjoy something so simple.

I'm caught in the web. Just like the poor grasshopper that got caught by Mr. Icky my garden spider. Mr. Icky kept looking at me while I took his photo. He seemed to be saying "it's mine, all mine, back away from my grasshopper! Mr. Icky sat there happily and sucked the life out of the grasshopper. Hmmm, how many times I feel like this. How many times I talk to other's that feel the same way. What are we doing to ourselves? Why do we allow Mr. Icky to suck the life out of us? How do we change? Have we done it so long we don't know how to change? Caught in the web we are.

They're Multiplying!

Well my goodness! It's so cool to find so many bunny lover's out there. Of course, what's not to love in those sweet, gentle, precious little creatures? Today my little wild bunny(Silfay) showed up in my yard twice, once in the morning, once in the evening. I was delighted to see that he survived the Gustav storm that blew through yesterday. Silfay smelled the raspberries on my raspberry bushes. I went out and picked some for him while trying not to disturb my garden spider that had also survived the storm. Silfay practically ate the raspberries out of my hand. Then he stood up on his hind legs and started to pick them off the bush. Of course I explained to him, as he spit them out, that they weren't ripe yet. I gave him a few pieces of lettuce, but like most bunnies with a sweet tooth, he wanted the sugar and soon hopped away in search of something sweet. Such a gift he is to me. Such a sweet little creature that has blessed my life.
Well since then, the bunnies I have been making seemed to multiply. I got on a roll and had so much fun creating these. A lady ordered 10 lavender bunny sachets that she puts with packages or gives as hostess gifts. What a nice lady! Then, I finally got around to making some of my Shabby Wabbits. They are so soft and so cute! Then, as I was digging through my image collection, I found a cute little bunny that I just had to make a tag with.

Finally, as I often do. My mind got side tracked by "ooohhhh that's so cute and so pretty," and I made this little girl art mini art quilt. I'm calling her Rebbecca. Not sure why, just looks like a Rebbecca to me. Also made a little birdhouse tag. Just thought it was cute.

If your interested in purchasing anything, please visit my site here. I offer FREE shipping in the USA! Also, please visit the forums at Make Mine Pink to visit with all my wonderful Pink Sister's that have stuff for Show and Tell Monday. It makes Monday's so much better to look at pretty things.
